A new pattern for the a locus - Mangrove. Inspired by/based on the Western Mangrove Cat Snake. The basic idea is the black becomes the B/D locus color while the yellow becomes the C locus color.

On the head, from the eyes back would be the B/D locus color while the muzzle down the chest and somewhat along the stomach would be the C locus color. The body would be mostly the B/D color with vertical stripes of C interrupting the otherwise solid body. The first stripe or two may be connected to each other and the chest along the stomach. The stripes vary in thickness and shape from dog to dog - sometimes just thin strips and other times irregular triangles.

An alternative but similar idea would be Krait - based on the Black-Banded Sea Krait. This would have a different pattern on the head and a more even thickness of the B/D and C bands.

I love the idea of a white/merle gene based on the variegation of a monstera plant! The pattern includes large swathes of white with the rest either base color or irregular shaped spots of white at 50% opacity. This coat allows for a wide variety of patterning so no two dogs are guaranteed to look the same! [source]

If a simpler design is desired, the variegation of the prayer plant is also interesting! It could be a type of brindle that's a little more sparse, with a jagged line running down the back at 50% white opacity. The brindle color could be based on another locus or it could always be a red pigment
