Saberstar and Spiritfrost met many moons ago when they were both young adults. Saberstar, known as Saberfang at the time was out on patrol near the thunderpath at the narrow entry to their great mist filled valley. The soft sound of a molly's cries echoed down the rocky chasm, catching his large ears. Not one to stand idly by, he ran ahead, mindful of the dangers the chasm held. Venomous snakes and large predators called it their home so it was best to avoid traversing unless you had to. Fortunately due to several members of the clan being kittypets part of the year, Saberfang had become well versed in its’ many dangers.
The cries grew louder as he made his way out of the chasm, finally face to face with the cause of the shrill noise. A smaller than average cat lay on the opposite side of the thunderpath, her small chest heaving as she lay on her side, unable to move from the shock and pain. The tall bengal, crouched on the edge of the black sea of stone that scorched his large paws, watching for the metal monsters to make sure it was safe before leaping across. “Don’t vorry, I got you now.” He said, his deep voice filled with worry as he examined her. He now noticed her unusual coat and suddenly their eyes met, both taken aback by the other as they felt an instant connection. More than before Saberfang vowed to himself that he would protect the small molly. After draping her across his back, he’s carefully make his way back home through the chasm, though he had to be slower and more careful with his movements. Spiritfrost was eternally grateful, spending the rest of her days by his side as his mate.
