Pokemon Used: alfie
Prompt:

as the library was beginning to become more and more spruced up in some areas and fixed in other areas, alfie had just laid around and watched. it all seemed like just really, really boring things were happening. why did xe even come here in the first place? alfie wished junie was here to talk to, they'd make things interesting.

while sitting there with many thoughts inside his head, alfie noticed pokemon putting decorations on the front desk, where the books were to be checked out. it was looking okay to alfie, but suddenly they noticed something absolutely terrible! not a single lava lamp was to be seen. lava lamps were essential to bring happiness and laughter to all the children who were to visit the library in the future. or whatever.

alfie rushed home and grabbed a lava lamp out of xyr emergency lava lamp storage he had stored away for moments just like this. scurrying back, they placed the lava on the checkout counter of the library. alfie was unable to find a place to actually plug it in, but just imagining all the goop and sparkles and lights it was able to produce filled alfie up with an intense joy. xe then shed a single tear; he was going to miss that lava lamp.

Setting up decor for the library should be easy! Of course, some dusting needs to be done first, and the books reorganized. It would also help to implement a digital system for take outs and returns, which means the main desk needs a new computer! Cinnamon knows a great tech store to get a simple computer from, and while it's getting set up, she can make decorations!

People love bright colors and a welcoming aura, so why not have a few banners right when you walk in? They should be bright, with lots of glitter! As for the rest of the library, why not set up some new chairs and tables so people can sit? Each table can have a small cloth, with a lamp, or a vase of flowers. So, with that in mind, Cinnamon had some help from a local florist to supply some flowers.

The walls still look a bit bare, though. Tilting her head, the little fusion had a vision of hand made posters. They could have little ads for new books, as well as inspirational quotes! The library would be booming with business soon! Which, speaking of, there'd surely be kids visiting, so a small colorful area for the little tykes was much needed! Now that the books were more organized, the kids would have their own section, which would include a table for small crafts and puzzles! The library was really shaping up to be a great place!

        Pokemon Used: Blain, Error, Jazz
        Prompt:

        [ 261 words ]
"How should we decorate this place?" Jazz hummed, "we all have very different ideas, I'm sure."
Error stared at the empty desk, giving a shrug toward Jazz, "I'm not really getting ideas for something cool."
"What about you, Blain? Have any ideas? You seem good at this kind of thing."
Blain gave a huff, floating around the desk. Jazz had left the box of things he gathered the first day on the counter. The ghost dog looked through the box on the desk, setting it down on the ground to look through it easier. He pulled out a few things.

At first, he pulled out a lamp, setting it slightly to the side on the desk. He placed things like decorative blocks on the desk, even a small mat that hung over the side slightly. He then put other little trinkets around the desk. At last, he places a small cup of pens and pencils on the desk, making them accessible to both the person working the front desk and patrons of the library.
Blain didn't quite stop there, though. He threw a few more bits of décor around the entrance.

Error and Jazz just kind of watched. Error did move a few things around every now and again, but let Blain do his thing, for the most part.

"There! All done!" Blain laughed, floating around Jazz and Error.
"It looks really good, very welcoming. You really are good at this stuff." Jazz smiled, "I think we should just let you decorate most things if we need to decorate anything else."

Pokemon Used: Catty
Prompt:

Catty being a nurse, she used to decorate counters and other offices, so she volunteered for this decoration mission. Her teachers always told her that something cute would be more fun, and more reassuring, so Catty decorated the counter with some little figurines of dinosaurs and other cute and friendly creatures. These things are cute and very popular with children in general. She also took care to put a pot, filled with pencils of all kinds, and all colors. You had to be ready for anything! Blue, red, black, green, and even yellow, pink or orange, you never know! Finally, in addition to the cash register, she prepared a powerful computer, in case of need to seek information, with a mouse pad reminding us that it is good to smile. Then, Catty added the box to pay by credit card, if someone wanted to buy a subscription, and the one to scan the books. Everything was ready according to her!

Nimbus had fumbled upon the library many days ago yet forgot to return tell now. As he was busy setting up other things for his friends and when he remembered he rushed back right away. With arm fulls of decorations to help liven the place up a bit. All so bright and colorful in hopes to entice other mons to come in. Placing some little potted plants around the counter to bring life to the place. Decorating the edge with some gold and silver garlands that he had found laying around his house. Grinning as he looked at them happily seeing what he had put on the counter. Then he began placing some counters on the desk side filling them with pens. Some with fun little fluffy toppers on them as well. Placing some notebooks by the computer for jotting down notes. A small little paperclip holder was placed near them in the shape of a pokéball. Then some colorful sticky notes for more important notes that needed handing off. Once he was done he stared at it all with pride as he looked at it. Proud to be helping the library become a nice place once again.

It was a medium-sized wooden counter, a lighter color wood, golden oak. With ornate detailing carved into it, spirals, and such. It was one of the few items that survived the renovation, uneaten by the bugs that had wormed their way into every nook and cranny of the building. Gerald sat behind the counter reading one of the new releases waiting for new customers to come and receive a library card.

The decorations themselves were very pretty, paper butterflies had been delicately stuck to the wood with safe peel tape. They were many colors from blue to red to pink and brown. New releases were propped up on the counter with a shorter checkout time so due to popular demand. Some of which were donated by the authors to help support small businesses. Being sold at the counter for much-needed profit were candies and small trinkets like keychains of dogs and pokemon and bookmarks as the library had a staunch policy against dog-earing the pages of books. The candies that were sold were heavily suggested to be eaten at home, but one could be careful and eat at the library provided they did not get food or chocolate in the books. The candies were chocolate-covered truffles, chocolate-covered sunflower seeds, and caramels among other things.

What library doesn't have bookmarks? We need to stock those fancy-looking ones so they hold up to time and use! Perhaps some of those thin metal bookmarks with a tassel dangling out the top. Having adorable Pokemon imprinted on them could be so cute! Even basic Pokemon-related bookmark prints, like Pokeballs, Items, or the many types of Food would be a good addition to add to the library's stock.
Another handy item to have in stock is a well-sealed water bottle. We want everyone to stay hydrated while reading and doing research, but we don't want any accidental spills to happen. Gotta protect the precious paper after all. The water bottles could have the theme of the library decal on them, or perhaps just a basic open-book style. We want to promote the library as well as promote good health.
As a third option, cute fluffy topped pens for note-taking and that same library promotion going down the sheath of the pen.

Pokemon Used: Blush (DV280) and Carbii (OM1349)
Prompt: (161 words)
Blush was always a pokemon with a fan for theming, especially since he believed that a theme made decorating easy, and with Carbii by his side in order to keep the ideas in the realm of reality, Blush knew that he was going to have fun decorating the library. He focused on decorations that were primarily based around classic books or some of the books that Blush personally enjoyed. Some of the decorations became a bit strange (especially when the inspiration came from sci-fi fiction) but nothing that looked too horribly out of place in a library. Carbii also had to make sure that Blush didn't get too many decorations, knowing that given the chance, the hybrid pokemon would cover everything he could in little trinkets. Clutter in certain locations could be seen as artistic, but this was a library- not a toy store, and thankfully Blush understood that and didn't, in fact, cover every shelf and countertop with book-inspired goodies.

The library's front desk is of course extremely important as far as first impressions go. So in order to be good, the desk needs to be clean and free of clutter so the exact choice of decorations is a tough one. They need to be interesting or perhaps useful, not a box full of useless leaflets nobody really cares about. Not pens, small children and younger pokemon get their hands or whatever they possess on those and suddenly books are full of scribbles!

Tienne is very focused on practicality while also wanting to appeal to people, so he eventually decided on fun book accessories. A display of Bookmarks ranging from beautifully detailed designs to ones of a more simple nature. A small book recommendation system and a little display of featured books from every section.

It needs to be well-lit without allowing the lighting to either be knocked off of something or be bumped into by those of a taller nature. That's something Tienne hasn't quite been able to settle on how to go ahead with yet but he's thinking about it! He thinks it should be a welcoming place, that everyone should be able to approach without feeling intimated.
