Cayde, of course, took Eyes up on the offer of coffee. Anzu tagged along to the cafe and spent a while with them. Cayde was excited to meet another new friend, and was somewhat relieved that 'a friend' was all Anzu seemed to be to Eyes. Shamefully, he tucked away the jealously that had been growing, and did his best to bond with Eyes' best friend. Thankfully, as Anzu was friends with Eyes and had a lot of experience in the area, Cayde's naturally anxious, awkward, dorky self was met with warmth and friendship.

As it got later, Anzu excused himself and left just Eyes and Cayde together. The two set out on a walk, the cool winter air was refreshing, and the sky was perfectly clear for some light stargazing. As much as Cayde didn't want the night to end, the two eventually reached their destination and it was time for them to part ways.

Eyes and Cayde lingered, doing their best to come up with random thoughts and quick questions to make their time just a little bit longer. But soon, they ran out of ideas, and a small quiet rested between them. Cayde was about to finally excuse himself and head home when Eyes spoke up.

"Hey, I uh- it was really fun getting coffee with you, would you like to make it a date next time?" Eyes said, as he shuffled nervously. His parasites made hopeful eye contact with Cayde while Eye's good eyes looked anywhere but him.

Cayde flushed and fluttered his wings unconsciously. "I- Yes! Yes I'd love to! To go... on a date. With you. Yes."

They chuckled at their fumbling. Plans were made, and the two headed home, both beyond excited to share the good news with their best friends.
