Snow Shoveling Site

Carol sits down by the barrier, flicking their tail, with an irritated, but defeated expression painted across their face. You approach them, wondering what to do.

Forest

After treading through the snow as you follow Mockingbird, you eventually reach the forest. "Welcome. Now, like I said before, this place is very dangerous, so you might want to buddy up with another chicoon. And, in case anything happens, here's a few options for weapons.
Weapon Options:

1. Thick, stiff arrows, missing a bow, to stab or throw
2. Long, rusted sword, to stab from a safer distance
3. Your bare hands, to beat up your enemies the old fashioned way

After thinking a bit (or not, your choice), you settle on an option and head deeper into the forest. As you walk with the group, you spot a chicoon from the bushes, staring you down, like a startled deer.

Blueberry Tart sees Carol sitting and looking a bit dejected. He approaches slowly, lowering his wings in a polite - if a bit sad - gesture. "Carol, I just want you to know that I know I'm just a young Chicoon and I may not be the fanciest or the brightest, but I respect you for everything you're doing. Without these pathways, Chicoons wouldn't be able to make it to all of their favorite winter events. Shoveling snow lets us meander wherever we need to go without tromping down all the beauty of this winter wonderland. Plus the piles we shovel up make great amounts of snow for the snowman builders. You are important, and you deserve kindness."

He gives her a little smile, sitting beside her for a while. He hopes that his words will lift her spirits and help her to feel better, but he is a bit new to socializing and doesn't always know the right thing to say. "Carol, you're appreciated, never forget that. We may whine and grumble about the difficulties of good old fashioned hard work, but it's food for the spirit!" He grins then.

"Well, I'll let you sit and sort yourself out here for a bit. Right now, I'm going to go after Mockingbird and see what's up. Honestly, I am just so curious about the forest, I really hope that you won't mind?" He looks to her again, dipping his head politely before leaving, and follows footprints in the snow until he gets to the forest.

'Life is too short to dwell on things that anger us, like a steam cloud, its gone in an instant. So... cheer up hun, and we got plenty of shoveling left to do, maybe some had work will clear your head.'

"Easy there!" He says quickly, putting his hands up a moment. "I won't hurt you! We are just passing through, honest!" He bows his head a slight, to try and further the idea that he genuinely meant no harm. He was hopeful a fight would not start because if it did... he was so not ready. He had never wielded a sword before in his entire life!
