While Borgata couldn't imagine why anyone would have flung themselves in, he certainly hadn't resisted exploring once the staircase appeared. Not only that, but he remembers the screams. He hadn't screamed into the abyss, but he was certain he'd heard the voices of some among the tribe join the unholy wailing on more than a few of those nights. Now everyone would be safe.
