"...I admittedly feel a bit guilty about that, I helped break it," he admits. "So... since I am unsure how to repair it I am going to go with them. Just to find out what I can do to help, I'll be back as soon as I can!" He reassures. He sighs out, before carefully taking off his favorite goggles. "Here, keep these safe while I am gone. They are very special to me, and will protect you from ice and snow too! Remember, I'll be back to get them so keep yourself and them safe!" He goes to gently pad her shoulder, before following after Mockingbird.

"...Apologies for the barrier damage. I want to do what I can to help," he says, catching up with slightly hurried steps. "What can be done?"

They frown slightly, thinking it somewhat rude when Mockingbird calls them fools for not knowing why the barrier was there. Exactly how were they supposed to know that, anyway? The barrier just showed up, with no explanation or warning, and they were just somehow supposed to know it was there to keep everyone away from something they didn't even know existed? Especially since it was impossible to even see it with the barrier in place. Nonetheless, Sara cannot help but feel somewhat curious about the forest; why is it dangerous? She kind of wants to visit it to find out what else is there, but she also feels concerned about Carol, who Mockingbird was really quite rude to.
"Hey, are you alright?" Sara asks Carol, checking to make sure Mockingbird's tail didn't cause any injuries to their friend. "I kind of want to visit the forest, but afterwards I will be back to help you with the snow shoveling again." Sara gives a reassuring smile, before setting off after the other Chicoons who were following Mockingbird.
Although Sara does still think hitting Carol and insulting the group was uncalled for, she does also kind of see Mockingbird's perspective. After all, if the barrier was there to protect his home, Sara could understand why seeing Chicoons attacking it would upset him. It was probably just a misunderstanding on both sides. So, Sara would give Mockingbird the benefit of the doubt and see if he would be nicer now that the barrier was no longer being attacked.

Knowing they had to make a decision and could not keep stalling, Everett shuffled their feet. They squinted their eyes, trying to see if they could see anything, or anybody, lurking in the forest. Alas, the forest was way too far away for Everett to see anything. “I think I am going to go check the forest out.” Everett spoke to Carol. “It is getting a little too cold here for me.” They laughed, trying to make a joke. “Adventure is just beyond those trees!” They paused. “But it is going to take a little while for us to get there…”

Froge follows along, he things mockingbird is kind of harsh, but it's not like he blames him since everyone just attacked the barrier without any questions

So maybe mockingbird is just stressed and annoyed, and is genuinely a good person, regardless he follows and keeps his mouth shut. Not wanting to make the situation worse
