It almost resembled the Loch Ness Monster, but that was not possible. Or was it?

Prompt: He honestly couldn't quite remember what an Among'sus even looked like himself, sitting in the snow for a while before the vaguest memory of one surfaced. Hadn't he seen one running with a chicoon a few weeks ago? Monty hurried home to draw out the little creature before he forgot it again, returning not too long after with an admittedly very poorly drawn rendition of the companion. He folded it into an airplane as best he could before sending it off down into the pit below
