Cup Entry:
This cup was beautiful once, a cute mug bearing a picture of two Chicoons, holding hands and in love. It has been shattered, almost (but not quite) beyond repair. Broken into pieces when it was thrown to the floor in a fit of rage. It was a gift once, from one partner to the other, a symbol of their love, but that love was betrayed and the recipient, in their anger, smashed it into the floor. They regretted it instantly, gathering up the pieces and weeping over them. Then, carefully and lovingly, they glued it back together in the style of Kintsugi, where a damaged thing is repaired with gold. In a way, that made it even more lovely, but at the same time it would never be as it had been, there would always be a crack between the two chicoons, forever keeping them apart.

Straw:
Reverie decided that the cup needed a straw to match it, something equally precious but also somehow damaged, not quite right. She didn't want the cup to look shabby in comparison to the straw so she searched far and wide until she found one that was equally special. The straw itself was made of glass, and it had never been broken, but when it was blown it had been blown crooked, so that it canted to the side and had a crimp in the center where it was made perhaps less than skillfully. While the narrow area meant that it would never be capable of being used to drink the boba out of a cup of boba tea, it would work just fine for drinks without any additives. Even a milkshake should be possible to drink from this straw, she thought to herself, right before purchasing it at a discount.

Prep Time:
It was now Reverie's turn in the kitchen, and she was looking forward to producing something nourishing for others, although she had no appetite herself. Perhaps the act of preparing ingredients would spark something in her stomach, even if it were just a tolerance for fluids. She washed her hands slowly and thoroughly, especially between the toes, and then dried them off on a soft, fluffy towel. "If only everything could be so simple," she thought, holding back a tear.
When she felt thoroughly clean and dry, she began to prepare the ingredients. There were all sorts of wintery delights: apples, cocoa, little pieces of crushed peppermint bark. She couldn't decide exactly what to make first so she took a full inventory of everything in stock, trying to see if all were in order for any of her favorite recipes.

Clean hands!:
Someone came through the kitchen, politely reminding everyone that it was good manners to be thoroughly washed up before making anything edible. While it was just a friendly comment, meant to remind those of them who may be used to roughing it and not thought of sanitation, this little intrusion was more than Reverie could take.
She instantly started crying, and swore on everything she loved that she had washed up, both paws, with soap and water. Embarassed, she fled to the supply closet to dry her eyes on a handtowel and attempt to calm down.
Looks delicious!

Tasty Drink:
Once she had gotten her composure back, at least to some small degree, Reverie went back to her station. She looked at everything laid out on the counter before her, and then she pinned back her wings tightly against her head and got to work. She decided to make Pirate Tea, something that her father had taught her about which always warmed her spirits and reminded her of a time back when she had been loved unconditionally, rather than these days where she felt hurt or betrayed just as often as cared for.
First she put some water on to boil, and then she added chopped apples, sliced oranges, and a few limes. Once the fruit had cooked in the water and released its juices into it, forming a kind of sangria, Reverie added the secret ingredients: a handful of seeds from a pomegranate, and a couple big scoops of molasses. Just the smell of it was beginning to make her mouth water, and she was struck with a pang of loneliness, missing her father like crazy.

Something interesting?:
When she turned off the stove and allowed the Pirate Tea to cool down, she decided to make another beverage, something a bit thicker and richer for those who needed strength and warmth after all of the snowy activities.
Now beginning to get into the groove of drink preparation, she worked more quickly, more confidently. Reverie heated some water in a kettle, transferring it to a mug once it got hot enough to whistle. She mixed in cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a bit of rum. Sure, plenty of Chicoons have drank hot chocolate, but how many have had it made from scratch rather than using the powder? Plus hers contained no added sugar, so it was a bit healthier.
Its.. Interesting!

Just a sip:
Now that she was feeling a bit better, she began to get thirsty. Reverie decided to use her special mug and straw, and she poured herself a nice big helping of Pirate Tea, still warm from preparation but cool enough to enjoy without burning one's tongue. When that delicate, fruity taste hit her palate she closed her eyes in memory, taking her back to an earlier time in her life. She could almost see her father now, in her mind's eye, helping her to cut the fruit and boil it when she was just a little fledgling. This had been their Sunday tradition, a nice way to relax and unwind, taking life slow before the hustle and bustle of the week began once more. A single tear rolled down her cheek, but this time there was a smile on her face. Maybe it wasn't so bad.... after the rain comes a rainbow, right?
