It would be quite the silly sight to any onlookers, a chicoon attempting to hug a whole pit, but this chicoon in particular doesn't seem to care.

I've brought you some sweaters, hopefully these help to keep you warm!" Satisfied with his writing, he drops the sweaters down the pit along with the note.

Let me grab some things.” Wandering back hours later, laden with blankets hiding other things, I start to unload. “Here’s 8 or so blankets of varying weight and size, a couple scarves and hats I loom knit, and some of those reusable handwarmers! I also brought a few knitting looms, hooks for them, instructions on some basic stitches, and yarn unfortunately I’m not sure if any single type was enough to finish a single project so you can make some yourself if you want. Let me know if you need more yarn or get tangled? I’ll do my best to fix both those issues.”

When Rolean returns to the Pit, there are no extra notes from the Pit itself, but there is a note from Sweaty. It reads:
The Chicoons in the Pit should be the only ones screaming now. They sure have reason to! You can continue screaming if you'd like, but there will be no space on the form for it.

'Hi again Pit!
Sorry to hear you're feeling so cold. It's snowed a lot this winter, a lot more than it has in a long time.
Who taught you all those new words? There's a lot in there that even I haven't heard!
I like the bird you saw. Blue jays are very cool, I learned from the books I read that blue jays like to eat acorns.
I'm giving you these hand warmers in the hopes that they'll help you warm up. Do you have hands?'

Jackson paused. Was that rude to ask? It seemed like necessary information, so he kept it in the note.

'If you rub them, they'll activate and keep you nice and warm. There should be enough in there to cover all of you.

When Jackson returns to the Pit, there are an extra two lines on his note. They read:
I do not have hands, but there are many down here that do, so these hand warmers will help. Thank you.

He couldn't have moved quicker as he jumped up and ran back to his house, returning with a self knitted sweater he made. It was... quaint, had an extra arm, a few odd holes, and was in a yellow, green, and blue color. He carefully wrote on the back of the note.

"Hello again! I'm sorry you're feeling cold! I know it's not much, but this is the first sweater I ever knitted! I hope it finds you well, and can keep your warm during this winter! If you need anything more, don't be afraid to ask! Your Friend - Toon"

When Toon returns to the Pit, there is an extra message in his note. It reads:
I was lucky enough to get more than enough sweaters for my friends. This means there were plenty of extras- yours is by far my favorite. I will be keeping it for myself. I would try to make a sweater for you in return, but I wouldn't know where to start. I hope this is okay.
Attached to the note is 1x Cacophony of Screams

Turtle returns to the pit, hoping his new friend had liked the picture of the bird he'd given it. Another note... it was becoming apparent that Turtle probably wasn't the best chicoon to be interacting with the pit, he never knew what it was saying! While he didn't bring anything 'warm' as such, he did come baring gifts, a few of his favourite things. Silly string, popping candy and a rainbow friendship bracelet he'd spent all day making was tossed into the pit. He wagged and hoped the pit would enjoy them!

When Turtle returns to the Pit, there is an extra note with a small gift parcel attached to it. The note reads:
It is not a bracelet, but I hope you accept this in return as a sign of our friendship.
The gift parcel contains 1x Basic Choker and 1x mmmmmmmmmmmm c(h)orns

he found a megaphone on the floor, he turned it on. “I WANT CHOCOLATE PUDDING, AHHHHHHH”

Out of the Pit's floor emerges a cup of Flashy Hot Jocolate alongside a note that reads:
I do not have any chocolate pudding; I hope this will suffice.

As pup came back pup was cover head to tail in a pile of blankets of all kinds. Pup dumped then on the pit's edge. "Everything's better with blankies! Will you make sure Mariana gets one too? I dont want her to be cold either!" Pup shoved the gigantic pile of blankets into the pit and watched as they disappeared from view

When Pup returns, pup sees a drawing attached to pup's note. On the back of the drawing is a note which reads:
I do not have a camera so I cannot send photos, but Mariana loves its blanket.
There is a crudely drawn image of Mariana the chicken on the other side.

He hesitates to throw in the rat, that might be a bit too much for the poor animal.
Out of nowhere 4 more rats ran to Kevin, look at him and they all jump in the pit. Did they read Kevin's mind? Well, hope they keep the pit warm then.

When Kevin returns, there are a few extra lines on his note. They read:
Thank you for the new friends. I cannot quite tell them all apart yet, but when I can I will name them. Do you have any suggestions?

“hello again pit!! it makes me excited to hear that the bird you were looking for was a bluejay! they truly are beautiful, huh? the next time i’m free, i’ll try to make plans to come see you earlier in the day so we can birdwatch!

in a change of topics, i have a perfect idea to keep you warm! how about a nest? it could also lure birds closer to you! hopefully it helps! -reptilian”

alongside the note, reptilian set down some gifts: a handmade bluejay plushie, a funny frog hat and some treats for mariana, and some more bird pictures and drawings!

When Reptilian returns, there is an extra note for him. It reads:
Mariana enjoyed the treats. It also seemed to enjoy the nest building materials... so they have all been used to build a nest for Mariana. There is no space for other birds in the nest, but I do not mind. Mariana seems to be plenty warm.

"Luv u big guy!" with a doodle of a void-black Chicoon. Perhaps this is how she envisioned the pit?
Wumbie placed a pillow on one of the blankets, covered herself in her favorite weighted blanket, and slept right next to the pit.

When Wumbie rwaks up, there is gift parcel waiting for her. The note on top reads:
I hope you slept well and the screams did not wake you. I did not scream last night, but I could not stop the others. Maybe this will help block out the sound.
I wish that is what I looked like. I am envious.

Inside of the Pit

All of a sudden, gifts start falling out of the sky. Plenty of Chicoons have donated gifts for those in the Pit to keep warm. Teddy was kind enough to donate a lot of items. Some of you receive hats, some receive scarves, some sweaters... You are plenty warm now.

One of the things that falls from the sky that every chicoon receives is some kind of light source - it could be a phone, a torch, a glowing platypus... Maybe this will help you explore. With your new light, you find something on the Pit floor. What is it?
