Honeydew read the note and gasp slightly. "Good gravy... those are some interesting words to have learnt" they said out loud before thinking. "hmm.. warm... okay i think i got it". They ran off to gather some items and after about 20 minutes they returned with an assortment of things that are "warm". They threw into the pit some items, including; a sweater, a match box full of matches, a cup with warm hot chocolate, and a small... very old touch device with a looping video of a fireplace on it. "I hope this works!".

It's late at night, and for the fifth night in a row, Reverie hears screams while she is sleeping. She rubs her eyes and makes her way outside, walking slowly toward the screm pit. She finds an interesting note there about bluejays, and someone feeling cold. She wonders if it was whoever had been out there screaming, for at the moment she doesn't hear a sound.

She goes and gets a big, comfy pillow and blanket, and brings it to the pit, tossing it down in there. Whoever may be underneath could possibly like to warm up, she thinks to herself. Then she goes back to her house, and prepares some delicious hot jhocolate. She thinks that whoever is inside the pit may want some, so she pours it into a thermos, adds some whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and marshmallows, and then seals it up and drops it down into the pit.

"I hope that helps!" She screams into the pit, so that even if there are any chicoons way down deep in there, they might hear her.

When Jackson returned to meet his newest friend - the Pit - the next day, he was pleased to see a new note waiting for him. However, he frowned as he read it. Not only were there all kinds of swears on the note (some of which would make even the members of a CS:GO lobby blush), but the Pit admitted that he was cold. That wasn't good. This winter had been a bit of a brutal one, so if the Pit had no way to keep warm then it could be in trouble. Jackson once again began digging around in his backpack. He had to help out somehow. But how did someone keep something as big as a pit warm?
It wasn't much, but Jackson did find an unopened packet of hand warmers in one of the backpack's pockets. They were supposedly pretty good, though Jackson had never used them himself. The back of the packet said that they would last for twenty-four hours after being activated. Maybe if the Pit spread them out, they would be warm for a little while? Jackson sighed, scribbling another note to the Pit.

'Hi again Pit!
Sorry to hear you're feeling so cold. It's snowed a lot this winter, a lot more than it has in a long time.
Who taught you all those new words? There's a lot in there that even I haven't heard!
I like the bird you saw. Blue jays are very cool, I learned from the books I read that blue jays like to eat acorns.
I'm giving you these hand warmers in the hopes that they'll help you warm up. Do you have hands?'

Jackson paused. Was that rude to ask? It seemed like necessary information, so he kept it in the note.

'If you rub them, they'll activate and keep you nice and warm. There should be enough in there to cover all of you.

Something warm? DIRT contemplated for a moment before running off to grab 'warm' items.
They return with various amounts of things in a large bag they dragged behind them. Clumsily dumping out the contents, there were scarves, gloves, jackets, and firewood! DIRT chirped and threw the clothing items into the pit, hopefully, that'd warm it right up!
If not... DIRT turned to the firewood, doing their best to set it alight. With a huff, they threw the sticks to the ground, everything was far too wet and cold for the wood to light.
Although, there was one more thing that was warm.

They paced a couple of steps back from the pit, crouching down and staring with determination.
With a running start, DIRT lept straight into the awaiting void.
Maybe from the inside, DIRT could help warm it up!

while dave has no idea whos these other chicoons the pit is talking about are, he is glad the pit found the bird it looking for regardless. Swear words? After having worked retail his whole life, these words were practically for babies. Dave would have to teach the pit some proper swear words some time. Just not right now. Right now the pit was cold and Dave had just the thing to fix that.
After gathering the necessary things, Dave dropped down a few packet of hot coco mix as well as a couple thermos fillled with hot water and some plastic cups.
While hot coco was better from a mug, there is no way one would survive the fall so plastic it is.
"Hope you enjoy." Dave called down while he took a sip of his own hot coco to stay warm.

Toon returned with a smile on his face and exactment in his eyes as he saw a new letter. He was quick to scoop it up before looking it over and reading carefully.
He couldn't have moved quicker as he jumped up and ran back to his house, returning with a self knitted sweater he made. It was... quaint, had an extra arm, a few odd holes, and was in a yellow, green, and blue color. He carefully wrote on the back of the note.

"Hello again! I'm sorry you're feeling cold! I know it's not much, but this is the first sweater I ever knitted! I hope it finds you well, and can keep your warm during this winter! If you need anything more, don't be afraid to ask! Your Friend - Toon"

He signed off before carefully casting the note and the sweater into the pit. He watched it descend till it was out of sight, smiling happily to himself at his good deed before heading home.

Prompt: Tristan blinks once, twice as he looks over the words on the note. He can feel the blood rush to his cheeks, as his wings flap a few times in quick succession. Flapflapflap. He jots down a reply, as he considers what to give the pit.

'I am glad to see you are developing your vocabulary! Did you know you can say friend in many languages, as well as hello! Here, let me show you!'

A few examples are given, in the few alternate languages he knows.

'As for something warm, well, I have my scarf! I will toss it down to you, I think you could use it more! Please enjoy! It's seen a lot of places, and I think it will give you good company and warmth!'

Prompt: Dreigana lays down and brings her flame closer to herself. Best to let whatever is in the pit come to her instead of wandering around aimlessly. She focuses on her fire and channeling her warm throughout her body.
Your Daily Scream: Dreigana hears the echoes of screams start up again and knows that another day is passing. She begins to wonder why she needs to join in the screaming, but shakes away the thought. She lets out a deep, long scream, feeling some of her annoyance leave with it.
