They look at the card, then placing it aside and reading the new note. A deeply intelligent lifeform the pit is indeed. They stare at the note, and then back at the pit, and then back to the note once again. Could you ever imagine being pen pals with a gaping black hole of seemingly infinite darkness? Spritely could, because of course ghost would. That actually sounded like a great idea.

They return a note to the pit:
"Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the gift. I'm Spritely, and it'd be amazing to get to know you as well! If you asked any of my friends, I think they'd all say one thing: I adore all things paranormal. I've gone in search of countless ghosts and cryptids throughout my life, documenting legends of all sorts, and I must say, I've never known anything quite like you are, a screaming pit. You do not need to answer, but I'm incredibly curious: Where do you end? Are you a bottomless pit at all, or do you eventually reach an end like all things in life do?
