Prompt: No one ever wrote to Splash other then herself so this was certainly quite odd, even Onyx, her bestie, hadn’t shown any interest in becoming pen pals recently. She grasped the letter in her paws and walked back inside to sit down and inspect it. The envelope looked rather formal in her opinion, maybe her totally not fictional long lost great uncle who lives in a castle had fallen ill and was in need of her aid!? She let out a sigh of disappointment as she read the letter, nope, this was far too casual to be a cool rich uncle. Maybe it was one of her many cousins! Or a half sibling who she had met when she was younger!! The possibilities were almost endless! She must go and catch up with them, this mystery needs to be solved!!

Valentine can't seem to remember any of his old friends. It msut have been way back when he was much younger. Trying his best to remember, he kinda gives up. Maybe it is a bit of a newer friend? Valentine really can't think of any friend who want to catch up wit him. Anyway, Valentine does look forward to meeting, that must unlock some memories, right? Prompt: The note simply baffled him as he only had a few friends. All of whom would have signed that note with their name. Grumbling to himself as he tried to look for clues on the note. An exacerbate sigh left him as he couldn't spot anything defining. Clearly he had to have met this chicoon before he just didn't remember them. Which made him feel bad though he commonly did forget someone if he met them once or twice. So maybe it was that he had only met them briefly so he simply didn't remember them from such a quick encounter. This made him groan knowing that he would make himself look like an idiot for not knowing them if he showed up, but he would look like a rude chicoon if he didn't go to meet them. It was a predicament that he found himself in. He could plan on going or just not go all together. Though maybe if he did go he could trick them into give their name to him. So that he wouldn't have to awkwardly explain that he didn't remember them. Better yet he could get their and it would be one of his close friends so it wouldn't be awkward at all. Though he thought more then likely it would end up being the awkward route since he had faith that his friends would leave at least a small clue for him. So he kept just trying to run through his head the ideas of who it could be. Just hoping in his mind that he could figure it out in time before he went to meet this mysterious chicoon. Oh he just realized he decided that he was actually going to the meeting. Guess he absentmindedly decided on that he was going on the mystery meeting with someone he didn't remember at all. He just was going to have to try and figure out who it was with before it came time hopefully. Sighing he took another look at the note again searching for any clues or maybe even a code within it that would tell him who he was meeting. Still it lead to nothing that could tell him who it was. Then he examined the envelope hoping maybe just maybe there was a return address. To his horror it didn't have one at all just his own address as the receiving one. He flopped on to the floor not knowing what else he could look for that could lead him to who it was. Instead he let out a frustrated sigh holding himself back from screaming out his frustrations instead. (word count 442)

"It's an interesting letter that's for sure...I've no idea who would've sent it." Author spoke under his breath, as he held the letter in his paws he looked at the hand writing, the back of the note, the letter...all of it, but he didn't recognize anything that would give him a clue as to who would've sent it. Puzzled, yet curious, he continued to re-read the letter a few more times.
After reading through the letter a few times, Author began to think to himself. He has met many Chicoons lately, and befriended a lot of them...maybe it could be one of them who wrote the letter? Or maybe it could be someone new? He let out a sigh and gently set the note down on the table.
"Maybe it is someone new...or maybe the note was meant to be for a different Chicoon?" His parasite hummed softly, glancing down at the note curiously. Author shrugged. "Possibly...I mean one way to find out would be to go and meet this stranger, or friend." He let out a soft sigh, smiling gently as he looked back towards the letter. "They sound friendly enough from the letter, I'm sure they'll be even friendlier when we meet them!" He spoke, he began to pack a few things into a small bag. Some of it work he had been focused on in case he had some spare time, a few random items and some snacks for Beaker.
As he checked over that he had everything ready, he nodded and set the bag gently onto his shoulder. The sound of claws clicking along the ground near him as he looked to meet his companion, Beaker. He smiled and gently patted the Wonko's head. "We're going to go meet up with someone, wanna join us?" Beaker chirped with excitement and didn't hesitate to fly up onto Author's head, sitting comfortably between his head wings.
"Well...seems that we're all ready," He began to make his way outside. "let's not keep them waiting!" He began to walk down the street towards their destination, he had to pull out a small map he brought to locate the coffee shop as he was still fairly new to the area, but they managed to find where the letter told them to go to!

Prompt: Turning the letter over in her paws one last time, Dot finally sighed and gave up looking for clues. Instead she started to wrack her brain, trying to remember who she hadn't seen in a long time, who didn't know where she lived until now, and who could possibly have lots of questions.... Dot sighed. Whenever she tried to think too hard about something, her mind would go blank. Maybe someone she played music with once, or someone she met on the road... Whoever it was, she would find out tomorrow when she visited Deja Brew at the time written in the letter. She could always scope out the place first to see if she could spot whoever it was and mentally prepare herself for the encounter. For now though, there was no use worrying over it!

Prompt: After a long day of running errands, Shiloh was finally home. As soon as they walked through the door, they made themselves a cup of hot chocolate and got comfortable on the couch. Shiloh grabbed their favorite blanket and began to get cozy on the couch. Not soon after, their tail parasite, Courage, began to tap his fingers on the table. He reminded Shiloh that they forgot one thing on their list, and that was to check the mail. Shiloh looked over to the blank space on the table and groaned. They turned their head back to speak to courage, stating, “You know, we rarely get mail around here anyways. When we do get mail, it’s usually something we don’t need, like your guys excessive magazines.” he shrugged. Courage looked at right and wrong, who were shrugging. Right agreed, “that’s true Shiloh, you’re probably right”. Wrong disagreed, “you know, courage could be right and even if not, you still check every day”. The parasites began to argue amongst each other, talking aggressively with their hands.

Shiloh pushed their blanket to the side and sighed, “you know I love you guys and always enjoy your company, but sometimes you really kill me”. They slowly raised themselves from the couch and began making their way to the door. As Shiloh was walking down the snow-coated walkway approaching the mailbox they spoke once more, “I’m telling you guys it’s not going to be as important as you think. It never has been.” As they walked back into the house they set the pile of mail down on the table. They moved the table closer to them and began to sort through the mail. “Let’s see here,” they said as they grabbed the stack, “Yeah, seems to be a large stack of magazines, just as I figured” they huffed.

As Shiloh moved the last magazine to the side, they noticed something odd. “Huh?” they said, “Is this a letter?” Shiloh picked up the envelope and began investigating. “This is really strange, the only time I’ve ever gotten written letters was when it’s been a holiday or my birthday. The letter didn’t have any identification. Shiloh opened the letter to realize that it was a mysterious chicoon who wanted to meet with them. Shiloh was hesitant, but they were curious, so they began to plan for their meet at Deja Brew.
