D is for DarknessWhen I was a kid, I was terrified of the dark until one night when I was about 6, when I lay there looking at the ceiling and decided to turn off the light - there was something both scary and liberating about laying there looking into the complete blackness, and it intrigued me because my mind immediately tried to fill in the blank space by conjuring flickers of colored lights until my eyes adjusted
In a roundabout way, I suppose I'm still scared of the dark for a moment when the lights go out, but once I take a breath and let my eyes adjust, it feels almost cozy

D is for Darknessi don't fear the dark really. more so i fear
what could be in the dark depending on where i am. like if i'm outside in the dark without anyone else i may be a little scared. if i'm in my bedroom i'm not really since i feel safe in the darkness there.
