I was waiting for the bus after work on cold, rainy day last year. It was lightly drizzling and I didn't have a hood on my jacket. A car stops at the light nearby and I pay it no mind until a woman leaps out of the driver's seat, rummages through her trunk, then thrusts an umbrella into my hands saying to keep it and stay safe. I thank her for her kindness as she runs back to her car. I still have the umbrella and keep it in my own car now, in case I see someone who may need it more than me.
