What does Eve value above all else?
Well you could easily say gold and valuables due to her greed. Spending most of her life as a thief she's spent countless hours scheming and creating heist after heist to increase her wealth. Coming from poverty without home or family she set her sights on becoming more than anyone ever saw her as. No more sewer rat, no more street trash, no more names. From rags to riches she clawed her way up a ladder that seemed no one else but her was climbing. Truth be told, money was good, but what did it get her? She still had nowhere to go but the underground, no family, no friends. Sure she had a crew but in her line of work paranoia was all but too common. She couldnt trust anyone, or at least didnt want to. Or maybe she did but could trust herself either. Attachments could cause problems for her if something went wrong. Trust could get her into blackmail or threats, and without having anything to begin with, she couldnt stand to loose anything she gained. So she trusted coin. Even if she lost it, it could be regained. Gold was her friend. Gold couldnt betray her. Gold couldnt hurt her. Gold gained her fame in circles. It boosted her pride. Pride that grew too big and the bigger you are the harder you fall. She learned that when the parasite that wrapped around her throat spoke to her. It spoke all her sins to her. Her greed was her downfall.
Since the accident however maybe gold wasnt what it was cracked up to be. Maybe she needed a change in ideals. She wanted to value something else. She wanted to value something meaningful and not as cold as lifeless loot. She set herself to change. It would be hard but she would have to try to come to learn to trust. She set a code. A code that maybe if she followed she could change her lonely life around. She knew her greed would never leave her. Especially with the parasite reminding her of it constantly. Perhaps, however, she could use all that time stealing everything she could get her paws on to some use. Her community was in shambles. The underground was as lost as ever. Maybe she could change that. Maybe she could turn it all around. Reset her ideals to build and not hoard to herself.
What does Eve value the most?
Maybe its still gold on some level. She doubted she could escape greed entirely. But maybe she could value her community. The underground. All the people that have come to respect her and work with her. After all, she couldnt have done all those jobs on her own. Maybe she couldnt trust all of them of course. It's a cutthroat business, but she had a few good "friends" she knew she could count on. Maybe she could even learn to actually call them friends. That sounded nice. She'd been lonely so long after all. All the chicoins in the world never solved that.

Eve sat silently in the corner of the library. She caught herself re-reading the same line over and over again. She shook her head to try and clear her thoughts. She was distracted, very distracted. She lifted her eyes from her book to stare across the room at the chicoon diligently working at arranging books on shelves. Eve took a heavy sigh. A change in ideals huh? What did she want to value? Trust would be nice if she could come to get over her lifelong fear of it. Community? Well she's set her sights on improving that so that could be it. Family...Friends...those were something far from her grasp she thought. For a moment she locked eyes with the girl she'd been watching. Eve fumbled with her book and stuck her nose back in it, hiding an awkward blush on her face. She didnt think she'd ever blushed in her life before.
What did Eve value the most? Well maybe it could become...love?
