The night was finally here! The one night out of the entire year Hemlock could go all out and scare every living thing on this realm. She was so excited her best friend Caspy had finally said yes to hosting the haunted house this year. They had correlated all week on the planning and decorations they were going to have!

That was until she heard a slight yelp slip out behind her as she was decorating the magnificent entrance. “What are you doing?!” The question rang out with fear. A raspy, witchy giggled slipped from hemlocks muzzle “ Gotcha huh? I’m decorating dummy! “ as if caspy had the nerve to ask about what she was doing. Wasn’t it so clear?? It was a HAUNTED HOUSE for crying out loud. What else would he expect?? Hemlock shrugged off the shocked and dismayed look caspy threw her and continued with her work. Maybe he would change his mind once he saw it all put together.

The night was such a blast to Hemlock; being able to scare some of the townie collies away was a dream! However that was the extent of the ‘scare factor’ in the haunted house. Caspy had went practically rogue and decorated with two many cutsie things like sheet ghosts and smiling Jack-o-lanterns. Where was the fear? The adrenaline? It was all gone at the front of the house… and what little jump scares hemlock was able to muster out x only made collies who had dared to enter giggle or sigh with the silly set ups caspy had ready.

This all eventually turned into anger for Hemlock as the night went on until it was the last straw. A nasty argument had broke out between the pair, rough enough for them to go separate ways for the time being. No common ground was able to be found for some time over the whole situation. If caspy wanted such a cute and fun themed haunted house why didn’t he say anything ?? How hard was it just to speak up? Hemlock wasn’t that evil, even if her personality showed otherwise. Or maybe it had been hemlocks doing with going overboard and not listening to her soft spoken friend. Guilt wasn’t a long lasting trait hemlock retained. Once she had gotten past the thoughts of maybe it was her fault she quickly placed blame back on her poor friend. Simply put of just not speaking up, and if he hadn’t wanted to host such a scary event on a terrifying night. Then maybe Halloween just wasn’t for him.
