As Stolas finishes up his previous conversation with auntie Applin- his eyes land on the irresistible bowl of candy corn sitting on the table.. Each piece of candy shining from the kitchen light glowing down upon them- it's almost like a bowl of liquid gold to this nickit. Once Auntie returns to sorting out the ingredients Stolas has brought her thus far, he walks over to the kitchen table and begins to pull over the foot stool from the living room. ''Just wanting a better look- I'm too short!'' Stolas whined as the sound of the stool dragging across the wooden floors could irritate any ear.
Once the stool was in place besides the table, he had jumped up onto it, then next onto the dinner table. ''Are they fresh enough?'' Stolas asks as he provides conversation to keep her from growing suspicion as she paws through the Marshtomp Glove and Sattreon. ''Yes dear, they are lovely. Marshtomp Glove adds charm, and the Sattreon adds color! But you still need two more- one for flavor and one for aroma.'' She replied with a smile. ''I'm sure you will find some more soon, but today take a break from your adventures and enjoy some-'' She turns around, Seeing the nickit's head already in the bowl as he devours to his hearts content. ''candy corn..''

Prompt: Alex and Smith looked at each other once they had gotten back. Candy corn... huh? "Well what do you think buddy? Should we take some?" Alex asked, receiving a soft chuff in return. Alex chuckled, taking a few and handing them down towards Smith. "You're right, who am I to turn down free sweets? Just a few though, too many will make your stomach angry!" He laughs. "How do I know? Let's just say as a machop I may have eaten a few... dozen bags. On my own aheheh..." Alex grimaced at the memory, which even after all of this time was still strong.

"Anyways, what shall we do with today?" He pauses, listening, before laughing. "Baking treats for everyone once they come back? Sounds good!" And so the pair began to bake, creating cookies, donuts, and even a cake in fall spices and flavors. And a pot of hot chocolate for good measure!

After the evening Error and Jazz had, it was nice to be able to take a break from the adventure.
Jazz leaned against Error, opening his eyes and looking at the bowl of candy.

"Well, that's nice, isn't it?" Jazz looked toward Error.
"I don't have the biggest sweet tooth. You can take my share of the candy, if you'd like."
Jazz chuckled, taking a couple of small handfuls for himself, slowly snacking at the candy.

"It's nice to be able to relax." Jazz let out a sigh, popping a few pieces of candy into his mouth, "We don't get to do this a lot. We're always adventuring and all..."
Error nodded in agreement. "It does take a lot out of me to be so social, you know. It /is/ nice to not have to put on a social mask if I can help it."
The ninetales relaxed, leaning his chin on Jazz's head, "We don't get to spend a whole lot of time alone together. I wish we could do this all the time."
Jazz laughed, finishing the candy he had taken.
"Yeah... Me too. I love you, Error."
"I love you, too, lover boy. More than you know."

Griffin - 227 words

Griffin excels at retrieving, hunting, helping. He excels in being active. He struggles with relaxing. The prospect of a day to wait is... one that unsettles him, at first, when he reads the note, has him bounding uncertain between his feet. The brief respite for which the Pokemon around him appear grateful does nothing but set his nerves on fire. What is he to do on a day when he is to do nothing? Is there no task for him? No goal? No drive to push him forwards, nobody who needs somebody to do something that they cannot do alone?

He reaches out and takes just a few small candies.

As the day progresses into late afternoon his anxiety slowly fades, and he spends the rest of the day tentatively working through his minuscule amount of treats, watching the skies change colour over the course of the day and spotting shapes in the clouds and then, later, in the stars. When some other Pokemon gather around a small firepit they are struggling to light, he helps, and when they ask him for stories from his travels, he tells them, and they enjoy the stories and he enjoys telling them and by the end of that day of rest he realises he feels a little lighter for it. Lighter, still, because tomorrow he knows he has work to do.

When Mark, Kara, and Eric arrive at Auntie Appletun's house, they are a bit confused when they do not see Auntie Appletun there like usual. The trio spots a note on the counter, though, so they walk over to read it. Upon reading that she is taking a nap, Eric nods in understanding. "Naps are very important."
"Oooh, look, candy!" Mark says enthusiastically, having read ahead and noticed the bowl of candy corn waiting on the table. Kara giggles as the sobble rushes over to the table, looking extremely excited as he selects a piece of candy corn from the bowl. Kara and Eric follow behind at a more relaxed pace, and each chooses a piece of candy as well. The trio enjoys their snack, and eventually set out again, not wanting to wake Auntie Appletun up. They'll just have to remember to thank her for the treat when they come back tomorrow!
But now, the trio isn't sure what to do- they usually spend at least a few hours tracking down ingredients for the pie, so what should they do on a day off? As they wander around the town, they pause to admire some of the cool decorations people have set up around their houses. Kara especially loves the ghost decorations, while Mark likes seeing all the different faces carved on all the pumpkins. Once they have finished seeing the decorations, the trio head back to spend the rest of the day with their trainers. After all, they wouldn't want to get so caught up in trying to make the perfect pie that they forget to spend time with their trainers!

Dimentio Jr. is like many children in that he absolutely adores candy! He will take the candy happily, though, if he had some friends to share it with he most definitely would. However, since he's alone, he will more than happily take it all! Because when is there ever too much candy?!...he will learn later that there is in fact a thing such as too much candy when he gets sick, but for now, he is living in the present and having the absolute blast of his life. After he finishes the bowl, he decides that wasn't his most favorite candy in the world...but still, so sweet!

Prompt: Shifara looks at the bowl with calm restraint. She doesn't mind the taste of candy corn, especially with her trainer having shared a few with added flavors to them. She waits for a quiet moment before respectfully asking Auntie Appletun if she may have a few pieces of the sweet treat. Meanwhile, Neko looks up in alarm at the question. His paw was outstretched, caught in the act of already reaching for another scoop. His mouth showed signs of the candy already being devoured by the feline. He lets the few pieces of the candy plink slightly as they fall back into the bowl as he awaits a reply. He licks away the evidence of his lack of restraint from his mouth and paw.
Once given the alright to have some, the two happy munched on the the snack. Shifara continued to show restrain while she munch on the dessert. She even offered the help of both of them to help make more treats because of how many pieces the younger Pokemon was gobbling up.

Zander stared at the bowl of candy, tail already wiggling as he tapped up to it. He grabbed two paws fulls of the candies, stuffing them in his pack. He froze though when he turned around. He took plenty of candies, maybe he should leave something in return. He pulled out little zubat stickers, dropping them in the bowl before dashing out of Auntie’s.

He had so many tricks up his sleeves with these candies, giving a sneaky giggle as he ran through the market. Starting off he snuck little candies in sneaky places - going up to the fruit stand he hid candies under some of the apples and oranges and bananas, giggling after he left. He spied then a Jigglypuff taking a nap on a bench. He carefully creeped up on the pokemon, carefully placing a candy on the tip of her nose and placing a ‘Tricked Ya!’ sticker he made on her paw, sticky side up.

He stepped back and hid in the bushes nearby, waiting to see his ‘prank’ in action. Soon the Jigglypuff woke from her nap and blinked at the thing in her vision, reaching up to take it off only to end up putting the sticker on her face as the candy dropped on her lap. Zander giggled as he bounced out of the bushes, exclaiming

“Tricked ya!”

He bounced away as the Jigglypuff giggled, wondering how exactly putting a piece of candy on her nose was a prank. It wasn’t until she passed by a Butterfree who pointed out the sticker on her face.

Charlotte gratefully takes the candy corn from Auntie and goes to enjoy her day off from gathering ingredients. She goes and lies down in the woods on a blanket, tossing candy corn up in the air and catching it in her mouth before eating it. She notices a Pidgey staring down at her from a low branch above her and she intentionally throws the next piece up high enough for the Pidgey to catch it. It gives her a greatful look and Charlotte spends the rest of the afternoon peacefully with her new friend, munching on candy corn.
