These guys look strange!
Of course, you can't see them right now, there's some kind of magic shadow that's covering them, even though they're standing in direct light by this cave. Link had barked something about a witch, I think, though I'm not completely fluent in Keldish so I might be wrong.
Though, here, there appears to be some riddles that might break this spell (if it is a spell?) so we can see them!

[r] flightless wings, blank eyes, teeth
[uc] slender tail, muzzle shape, ear shape
im two of these things, my brothers, and i,
ive got small wings but can't go too high.
i buzz by your ear, and sound like a bee,
though people grab swatters and try attacking me!
the other part of me isn't too clean either,
ive got a naked tail and teeth like a beaver.
my combo of creatures makes me feel pretty alone,
but still, i really hope you'll take me home.

like the others im also a combo of creatures,
though unlike them, i have much brighter colored features.
one part of me blends in with the trees,
i hop between branches and croak as i please!
im named after my eyes, as red as a troll,
but the other part of me makes me blind as a mole.
this other half is famous among vampires,
consider me part of the only flying mammal empire!
