Chicoon 1: Valor
Chicoon 2: Sizzle
Story: Valor and Sizzle decided to go diving for fun, so they aranged a time and date and made sure to have the right stuff with them to go diving. Once the day was there, they both went to the ocean together, made sure everything was okay and they ran toward the water and jumped in!. They were looking a the bottom of the ocean and saw some pretty stuff. Like, real pretty stuff. There were some shiny things, wait, is that a gem? No, just a piece of glass. Oooh, what a nice fish there are! They looked at eachother and looked at the fish that were swimming on the bottom of the ocean. What a big fish is that! Pointing towards a green-ish grey fish, it was really big! Oooh, look at those blue fish! They are pretty as well! Mesmerized by all the beautifull fish, they go a bit further in to the ocean. There are a lot of plants and some corals! What a stunning colors! They dive to the bottom and grab som nice rocks, stones and to clean the occean, they also grab some junk. To keep the ocean this bautiful, it needs to stay maintained, right? They had a fun day diving, when they were done, they put all they found on a blanket and told eachother some random stories. What a nice day it was <3

Chicoon 1: Sprout
Chicoon 2: Gulliver
Story: Sprout and Gulliver recently got to know each other and would like to do something fun. What is more fun than diving? Nothing, right? Well, maybe eating some tasty fruits together.
Together they decided to go for a dive in the ocean, they are curious to which chicon can get the most interesting things. So off they go. They run toward the water, dive in and their search has begun. From time to time they look at each other to see if one of them got something interesting, nothing yet.
Sprout sees some interesting plants, but he can not take them with him, neither can he take those pretty fish with him, that would be unfair to the fish. Hmm.
Meanwhile at Gulliver’s side, he found something really cool! It is a bottle in the form of a chicon, have you ever heard of that? No? Gulliver hasn’t either! The bottle is empty, or well, of course there is some water in there. But the liquid that was supposed to be in there, wasn’t there anymore. He still decides to take it with him, because it looks so cool! Maybe he can make it in to some decoration or so. Who knows.
It is time to go to the surface again, Gulliver quickly takes the bottle out of the bag he took with him and shows it to Sprout. Sprout is impressed, what a cool bottle!
Sprout looks a tad bit sad, but decides to show the funky colored rock that he found to Gulliver. IT is at least something and it looks kinda cool.
Gulliver smiles and pats Sprout’s head. It was such a fun day!

Story: Jetty started off the dive by annoyingly splashing Cirrus every chance he had. Eventually, Cirrus became so frustrated that she yelled “Shark!” whenever Jetty was facing her. Well, it looked like Cirrus was going to be the serious one, and Jetty was going to be the prankster. Once they finally dove under the water, Cirrus pointed out a school of angelfish. Jetty snorted at her, shaking his head. “Of course you pick out the angelfish, ‘cause you’re the perfect little angel yourself.” Cirrus attempted to ignore him, taking out her waterproof camera so that she would have these memories forever. Cirrus continued to snap pictures, already having plans for her diving scrapbook. Cirrus took photographs of Cichlids, Discus, Mollies. While she was calming observing the fish, Jetty was busy antagonizing them. Cirrus turned her head to tell Jetty that it was time to get out of the water. She was just able to catch a glimpse of Jetty making a beeline for the shore. She could not help herself — she had to laugh when she realized that several schools of fish banded together to chase Jetty out of the water. Back on the beach, Jetty was panting heavily. Maybe he learned his lesson and will be better behaved on the next dive…

Story/Art:
"Over here, dude! We've got some diving to do!"
Oh, brother, Zephir thought to himself. Why did he sign up for this? Surfguppy was obviously more experienced (and willing) to go diving into the depths of the unknown than Zephir himself was. Shaking his head and rolling his eyes, the dark chicoon walked over to the stony jetty, lifting his legs high as to avoid stepping on as much of that nasty squelchy seaweed that the rocks were draped in as possible. Gross. "Someone shout really come out here and clean that stuff off, you know. It feels like it should be a slipping hazard. And no, I'm not going to be the one doing the cleaning."
"I mean... The rocks are already pretty wet. If anything, I'd say the seaweed helps you to have something to grab onto! Even if it... Still is a little slippery... Eeeh... Oh well, I guess it's kind of impossible to ignore at the beach?" Just be careful, man! You'll be okay!"
Surfguppy had already jumped into the water by the time Zephir got to the end of the jetty, and was now just waiting for his diving buddy to come join him. Zephir cautiously dipped one hand in before he felt completely comfortable letting getting fully submerged in the water. Gotta make sure there's no jellyfish or anything floating about. Or sharks. Or stingrays, or lionfish...
"See? It isn't bad!"
"Yeah, yeah, alright, so lets just get down there and see what we can find, alright?"
— And Gup was already beneath the waves. Zephir soon followed him, somewhat begrudgingly, but he soon found out it really wasn't that bad.
The two found a few sand dollars and plenty of tiny minnows, swimming in gigantic swarms near the surface of the water, their silvery shine reflecting the sun that hit the water's surface. Nearby, a cormorant slammed into the ocean, nearly startling Zephir as it caught some fishy lunch in its beak before flying back up. Surfguppy even claimed he saw a whale shark in the distance (though Zephir thinks it was just his eyes playing tricks on him). Soon, it was time to head back to the surface and go home, and Zephir wondered, okay, MAYBE I'll do that again some day. Maybe. If I'm in the mood for it!

Story/Art: At another part of the reef, the two aquatic-tailed chicoons were zooming through the ocean. To keep things interesting, they raced with some dolphins they saw earlier! The friendly creatures yipped and yelped happily, greeting the chicoons with bumps and cuddles. As they were swimming, they noticed that the dolphins were following them, so why not a race?

Procella and Finneus were competitive, but proved to be no match for the aquatic mammals as they were more versed underwater. Nonetheless, the pair had fun playing with the dolphins!

After their little fun with the dolphins, the pair decided to resurface for a bit and rest in the boat, grabbing some fruits to replenish their energy. After a bit, they dived once again but to their surprise, the reef was silence. The fishes were gone and even the dolphins were gone. The chicoon pair wondered where the animals went, and Finneus decided to explore a bit, swimming deeper into the silent and ghost-like colorful reef. Unknowingly, Procella was gesturing to him to come to her, the female chicoon had sighted a large creature, with the shadowy figure of a shark terrified the chicoon.

Procella slowly swam to Finneus and pulled his tail. The Male chicoon shook his head in wonder before Procella pointed at the shark a few meters underneath them. The beautiful beast had spots on his back which looked similar to a whale shark!

Oh no, it seems like the whale shark noticed the pair of land-dwellers and is now swimming towards them.. what will happen to our pair?

Story/Art: “Ugh!” Caiman exclaimed, throwing his wings up in disgust. “You know I hate getting my paws wet, Gil. Do we really have to do this?” Sending a playful wave of water his way with her tail, Gilia replied, “Oh, c’mon Cay! How else will we clean up the lake?” Pausing to allow Caiman to shake his shaggy fur free of water, she continued, “I mean, really, think of all the chicoons around the lake right now, and how much trash they’re generating. I’m sure most of them are disposing of it properly, but a good bit is bound to end up in the lake. Now get in here and bring your net with you!” Reluctantly, the larger chicoon grabbed his gear and slipped into the water behind Gilia. With a nod, the pair donned their goggles and dipped their faces under the surface of the lake. After a moment of swimming and searching, the two chicoons bobbing on the surface, Gilia prodded Caiman with her paw. After resurfacing, she pointed below them with her net. “There! A bundle of trash. Let’s both go down and try and fish out as much as we can!” Soon, the two chicoons had the bundle in their nets and were heading towards the shallows. As they reached the sand and began to sift through it, something seemed to catch Gilia’s keen eye. “Hmmm… what’s this…?” [231/200]

Chicoon 2: Jitter
Story/Art: “I’m glad you’re more interested in diving than Caiman was- he was about ready to climb up the tallest tree in the forest and never come back down by the time we had dragged our catch back up!” Gilia cheerily remarked to her companion as the two slipped into the cool lake water. Jitter looked nervous, her wings ruffled slightly but still pinned close to her head as she followed the smaller chicoon farther from shore. Both Gilia and Jitter didn’t need goggles as Caiman had, and so immediately began to dip their heads below the water to search for trash- or a more interesting prize that may have sunk to the bottom of the shallower parts of the lake. As the pair resurfaced, Gilia popped her head up fast enough to send a shower of water onto Jitter’s face. Spluttering, the other chicoon used her paws to send a wave back to Gilia. Soon, the two devolved into a flurry of paws, tails, and spraying water, their diving mission forgotten. After a moment of treading water and panting, Jitter dove below the water. Gilia immediately followed, trusting their lead. Soon, Jitter and Gilia had fished up something in their nets, and swam quickly ashore to investigate further. “Hopefully this is more than trash, too!” Gilia exclaimed. “Chicoons must be throwing some really cool stuff away…”

Chicoon 1: Cirrus
Chicoon 2: Jetty
Story: A few hours after their previous dive, Cirrus convinced Jetty to go out again. Although Jetty was pretty reluctant after his run in with the fish, he agreed to dive. He definitely was not going to get in the way of any sea creatures on this dive, though. Cirrus and Jetty swam toward a coral reef. They each took turns diving so that one Chicoon was always watching the other Chicoon’s back. Both Chicoons saw Clownfish, Lionfish, and Parrotfish. While Jetty was diving, he watched as a Sea Turtle approached the two Chicoons. Jetty and Cirrus continued to watch the Turtle in amazement. The sun reflected beautifully off of the Sea Turtle’s shell. At the same time, the Chicoons spoke. “That turtle is so beautiful!” Once the Sea Turtle swam away, Cirrus dove down to get a closer look of the coral reef. She saw some sea urchins, which hurt just to look at. She could not imagine accidentally stepping on one. Cirrus made sure to tell Jetty to stay away from the urchins. At one point during the dive, Jetty thought he found a sunken treasure chest! However, it was just a weirdly shaped rock. The sun began to set, so both Chicoons decided to call it a day. At least Jetty had a better experience on this dive!
