After having nothing happen after reading the note and taking the pins, Izumi had joined Mystra in searching the place too. He really wanted them to find something! He perked up as he heard Mystra claim she found something. Scrambling over to her he heard her claim they could use their pins here. Grinning, he joined her by pressing his pin in the other open spot. He watched alongside his friend as the wall broke down revealing another room.

Once inside the hidden room, Izumi pranced about with Mystra as they found it filled with strange technology. “I can’t believe something like this was hidden away all along!” He walked around looking at the different tech, as it made beeping sounds. Some even had a weird language coming from what looked like a speaker. “I wonder what this is talking about. Wish we had something or someone to translate.” After saying that, it dawned on him. Where was the person who stayed in here and operated the machines at?

Suddenly not hearing Mystra anymore, Izumi turned to make sure she hadn’t up and disappeared or was hoping she was so engrossed in the technology that she had went quiet. He spotted her, but she wasn’t looking into the technology anymore. He followed the direction of her gaze and it landed on a figure that was now standing there looking at the two of them. Izumi backed away from the machine he was checking out and went over to Mystra as the mysterious figure came into light. It was a chicoon!?

The mysterious chicoon made their way over to a table that was like the one in the previous room before, very triangular. They sat down and motioned for both Izumi and Mystra to join them. Both chicoons looked at each other and Izumi nodded, “I suppose this is it. Let’s hope for some answers and maybe getting to join them!” He said in an excited whisper as they both walked to the table. Sitting down, Izumi looked the mysterious chicoon over and just couldn’t believe that they resided here. Where were the other chicoons ,if there were others that is? Questions upon questions compiled inside his head. He figured Mystra had questions too by her expression.

It felt as if the air got suddenly still and the mysterious chicoon flicked their tail as they spoke. “Pleased to see you two have both made it-”, their voice seem to send shivers down Izumi’s spine and make his fur stand on end. Their presence now felt very demanding and Izumi didn’t dare ask any questions till they were done speaking. The mysterious chicoon stood and dipped their head as in a respectable bow. Then looking back upright, they smiled, “Now I do welcome you to the Chinati, but there is alot to discuss..”, they looked at their machines and monitors as they continued, “I’m sure you have questions for me to answer. Which I will do to the best to my ability on what I may share with you.” Izumi had gotten up and took a peek at the chicoon as they started messing with different buttons and mechanisms. Soon taking a glimpse at him and startling him. “So curious you are.”, the chicoon chuckled as Izumi had shied away back to the table. He then asked a couple of questions on his mind hoping the mysterious chicoon would be okay with answering. Like-why was the Chinati base of operations underneath the campgrounds? Also-would his and Mystra’s lives be forever changed? These were only just the start of many questions Izumi had for this mysterious chicoon.

Response: montgomery stared at the mysterious chicoon - where did they come from?! he seemed to notice them first, as mystra seemed occupied examining all of the trinkets on the table. “hello..!” he nervously honked.

Olli struggles to keep his cool, but he is managing! He still is determined to figure out who wrote the note earlier, looking at the Chicoon in front of them he honks softly. "Hello...it is nice to meet you as well, thank you for giving us the time to meet with you!" He smiles lightly.

Response: Nothing. There really was nothing else to see there. Esper frowned, glancing around the room one last time. Well, that was it, wasn't it? Just a room full of nothing else besides the statues and the sand and the button and the note that really lead to nothing except dissapointment. Welp, maybe it really was time to go. They wouldn't really call it a waste of time, though. There's nothing wasteful about making new friends and cheering them up when things don't go quite as planned, is there? Absolutely not. The adventure had been grand regardless, and a friend in need was a friend indeed. They were a little sad that no new clues were found in the end, but at least they were happy with their new pal. Life could not get any better than that — or could it?
"True, true. It was a pretty cool adventure in itself just meeting you, dude. Guess it's time to head out now — I'll race you there!"
But before they could race Mystra anywhere, they heard those sounds. A whole lot of chicoons... It quickly prompted the two of them into hiding. Esper didn't want to risk getting caught by some mysterious chicoon squad who most likely had a trick or two up their sleeves, just in case everything really did end up being some sort of trap, and so dove into the sand pit to hide. They listened carefully to what the group had been speaking about, and...
Lake monster?
"—Yo, Mystra, are you hearing this? They said they're bribing a lake monster to stop messing with the camp! Are— are they for real!? What are they bribing him with? Treasure? Food? Mysterious artifacts we don't even know about!?" Esper took a quick second to think about what they'd take as a bribe if they were a lake monster — they'd probably be easy enough to win over with a bribe of retro goodies — before snapping back into reality.
...Wait, what?
There was a real alien ship located just east of the lake!?
"Wait! Wait, hold on, wasn't there a key drawn on that map to the northeast side of the lake? Is that why there was a key there, because they had some alien spaceship hiding out over there!?"
Mystra and her friend, the whole part about not needing to get caught up in this situation...
"Oh, yes we do!" And yes, we are!"
Esper could barely believe their ears right about now. Were they really hearing the group spill their secrets, right that very second? There was no way— but they were. "Mystra! Now that they're gone, do you think we have a chance of beating them to the alien ship? If we get there before they do, who knows what we could find! Maybe the aliens will come back to find it and we'll catch them with our own eyes! Or— we could find all sorts of intergalactic items inside the ship! We gotta find out, dude! Let's go!"

And with that, the two were off on an alien-finding adventure.

As soon as the chinati had left, Esper set off with Mystra, and they ran like the wind across the boundless green fields of grass until they came across the lake, sparkling and blue. They were reminded of the monster that supposedly lived in the lake that had been bribed by the chinati, wondering if they could catch a glimpse of it if they stared into the lake's depths for a few minutes. As much as Esper wouldn't of minded taking a quick break, they knew there was little time left to spare. If the two dwaddled around too much, the chinati might get ahead of them, if they weren't already there. They couldn't lose their chance to see a real life alien spaceship now after coming all this way! "We're almost there! C'mon, man, I can almost taste the excitement from here!" Do— Do you see the other chicoons everywhere? Do you really think we've beaten them? I really hope they don't know any shortcuts, that'd put us at a disadvantage then; no, no, we just have to be ahead, dude! Right? Okay, okay, let's calm down, we're so close... But we have to keep running!"

From there they traveled eastwards, bounding and leaping with every step that brought them closer to their prize. Before long they finally reached their destination. The two chicoons were now a bit out of breath, but they were finally there. And with that, they both took a deep breath as they anxiously walked up to the alien spaceship...

Froge nods, “True, true… I wonder what kinda video games they play though?” Froge wonders aloud to himself, “Or maybe it’s like someone joined with the game logic and they pretended to be original?” He mutters, the idea of a conspiracy theory group playing video games in a dark dingy basement just seems so amusing to Froge, is that all they do to get more conspiracy ideas?

Froge snaps out of thought and looks at Mystra and nods, “I’m all in!” he beams enthusiastically.

He watches as nothing happens, “Yeah… Me too” -more video game logic maybe?- He thinks to himself as he looks around the room with her.
“Oh!” he exclaims as he happily hands over his pin to her, though hoping to get it back as he’s quite fond of it now. He’s definitely one to pick up random things he finds as he wanders around. Like the hundreds of rocks, he has randomly given to Addy over the years because he thinks they’re neat and she likes rocks.

Froge watches her put the pins into the slot curiously and jumps back slightly. Expecting some massive boulder to start chasing them, or maybe even an army to tackle like! Was this a trap??

He sighs relieved that it’s just another room. How many rooms are there?? He wonders as he follows Mystra carefully and is a bit sceptical of what’s to come next.
“WHOAAAHHH” He gasps at the room, wandering around and also fanning over all the alien technology, wondering what it all does and how it all ended up here.

Froge initially sees the new chicoon and looks away before looking back and jumping slightly, a very delayed reaction., and an embarrassing one if he does say so himself. Blushing a bit in embarrassment from jumping over nothing.

Froge walks over to the chicoon, looking back to make sure Mystra follows, or if she’s even still with him before looking back at the chicoon. He extends his paw to them as a greeting, “Ello, I’m Froge. I’m excited to be a part of something so large and interesting as the Chinati. I’m excited to learn all that you have to show, and learn more about the Chinati.” He states honest;y, but also can’t help but feel like he’s in an odd spooky job interview, or a quest interview.. Come to think of it quests don’t even interview people.. Odd.. They should..

Froge blinks awkwardly getting back on track with the situation at hand, overjoyed to be a part of a conspiracy, it’s always been a bit of a dream of his.. As odd as that may seem.

He looks at the chicoon, “So uhh… When do we get our robes? And do we get those pins back?” he asks sheepishly, though he can’t help but want to make sure, he IS a bit of a hoarder after all..

Response: Cirrus’ eyes narrowed as the head Chicoon spoke. Cirrus obviously did not find a note, and she had looked all over the room full of treasures. “How do you know how smart we are?” Cirrus asked, her hair bristling. “Have you been spying on us?” Cirrus quickly turned around, scanning the walls for hidden cameras. When her search did not yield any cameras, she slowly turned back around to face the group. “First of all, I want you to know that my best friend and I could take you down in a heartbeat! So think before you try something.” Cirrus glanced over at Mystra, softly nudging her. “If you belong to some secret society, then you need to let my friend join you. You were right about one thing — she is super intelligent. She probably knows more information than all of you put together.” Cirrus looked from one member of the group to the next. “I want to know who you guys are, individually. Names and dates of birth.” Cirrus softly whispered to Mystra. “Do you think I should ask for their identification number? Maybe they are aliens!” Straightening up, Cirrus snorted. “What planet are you from? Do you come in peace?” She continued to rattle off questions, giving the Chicoons no time to even register what she was saying. Finally, after a few minutes of interrogating the group, silence filled the air. “Listen, I just want to get out of here. I do not even know what a cryptid is, but it is important to my best friend, so it became important to me too. Can you help my friend, and can you guarantee my safety in the process?”

After a few minutes of talking, questions still circled in her mind. Had these Chicoons made that awfully confusing map? What did all of those symbols mean? What were these Chicoons doing here? All of this chaos was beginning to hurt Cirrus’ brain. She looked over at Mystra and wondered what her friend was thinking at this moment. Although Cirrus might be tough on the outside, she really was a softie on the inside. She cared about her new friend deeply, but she could not figure out why Mystra meant so much to her. Before these events, Cirrus could care less about what anyone else thought. Cirrus used to take pride in marching to the beat of her own drum. However, now Mystra’s acceptance and approval meant the world to Cirrus. Is this what it felt like to have a friend?

All of these thoughts continued to swirl around her head. Although she did not want her newfound friend to leave, Cirrus knew that this was Mystra’s hobby. Mystra suffered for the sake of her hobby. Cirrus thought about what Mystra had told her — that she never felt close to another Chicoon. Cirrus wanted the best for Mystra, and if that meant joining this group, Cirrus would come to terms with that. Her previous questions no longer mattered. Cirrus realized that the answers the group could provide to her held no weight anymore. Cirrus shakily asked, “If they are a secret cryptid society, do you want to join them? If this is what you want, I support you wholeheartedly.” After asking the question, Cirrus stared down at her paws. She waited for Mystra’s answer with bated breath.

Response: Gulliver looks at Pixi as she is taking her leave. “Well, that was quite an adventure for sure”
“We could go grab some dinner somewhere I guess ye. We should go to that one place with lots of fruits! I can use a nice smoothie after all of this, I am really tired from kicking over statues etc.” Gulliver says to Mystra. Looking at the sky, then at the place they just demolished. That was a fun experience for sure. What a shame we could not get one of those pretty gems though. Together they walk towards that place with the fruits and smoothies and everything. On their way their, Gulliver sees something shiny on the ground. Well darn, is that a small gem? “Well look at that! That seems to be a small gem, but it is like really tiny. I can barely see it!” says Gulliver to Mystra. Without waiting for a response, Gulliver shoves the tiny gem in Mystra’s paws. “Here, you have it. We had a fun day and I think you deserve this little gem.”
When they finally get to the place for dinner, Gulliver just takes a nice mango/orange smoothie and sips it as quick as he can. After they have had something to eat and drink, they went there separate ways. “Thank you for letting me go on this adventure with you, Mystra! IT was fun. I will never forget this!”

All of this was very confusing at this point, but it wasn't an aggravating kind of confusing thanks to not being alone in the experience. Kaydrys was a little bit angry at the bribery of the lake monster, that was for certain, but they didn't let that get to them- as long as nobody was really hurt, that's what mattered. That being said, the talk of aliens of all things also sparked more confusion in Kaydrys, though his among'sus seemed extraordinarily excited at the idea of going to see an alien spaceship. Sylvestris was both more and less confused, being less confused or emotional about the lake monster, and more concerned about the idea of aliens in any capacity. Either way, both of them were already fully decided on following Mystra to this ship, wanting to make sure she was okay while exploring something unknown. They weren't complaining about it however, neither of them could even think to complain about going on an adventure with friends.
