kyto doesn't know much about wild foraging, but berries are easy enough for him to identify! he'd scrambled back up to his tree hammock with a bundle of blackberries and raspberries, his white fur temporarily dyed in sections from their juice. most the bushes had been picked clean of all the ripe berries by other chicoons, but he liked the slightly sour ones better anyways.

Ah, the joy of the outdoors. Being able to feel the breeze on your face, the grass beneath your paws... The scent of grass... And perhaps, best of all, being able to enjoy peace and quiet for a minute! Hooray! What could be better than NOT being pestered by your fellow energetic Chicoons for just one second? Zephir was living for it. In the meantime, perhaps a snack or two wouldn't be a bad choice... At least he could enjoy it in peace, with nobody else around to snatch any snacks from him. Connecting to nature was never a bad idea, was it? So much to see, so much to do... All by himself!

First he was off to the blackberry bushes. He knew he'd been following the right trail. He'd seen the chicoon-prints going up and down the path, but it never struck him that maybe they'd of picked a majority of the berries off already. All he thought about was his upcoming breakfast and how good it would be. Fresh, tart blackberries right off the vine... Perfection! He couldn't wait to taste them until—
Most of the best berries had already been plucked. Many of those remaining were small, but he found hope in the form of one bush that still had some good berries on it. Zephir trotted over to it, prepared to pick them for himself... When the berry of his choice suddenly dissapeared into the bush. He tried again with another berry, and then another, but each time they just dissapeared. Letting out a confused honk, the darkly-colored Chicoon tried to see what was causing the blackberries to dissapear back into the bush, when all of a sudden, another one of his chicoon friends popped their head out of the bush! Mmm, sorry, man, couldn't help myself. These blackberries were somethin' good, they spoke via wing movements.
I'm... Sure they were, I guess, Zephir signalled back, looking down at the ground. Welp, there goes that idea. Well, he could always check the blueberry patches, or the raspberry patches, or perhaps just ditch breakfast entirely... But he didn't want to give up yet. There just was no way he was going to!

The raspberry patches were somewhat bare (He did get a few berries out of it though), but luckily for Zephir, the blueberry patches were still brimming with enough for him (and everyone else too, for that matter)! Pleased, he took his fill and ate it on the spot, but yet he didn't want to return to camp just yet. He picked a number of blueberries that he didn't end up eating, and maybe, just maybe, he could do something fun for once... Hey, I could make a sort of game out of this, the chicoon thought to himself. It'll be fun for anyone, I think!

So he kept moving on. He found several sturdy, reedy leaves growing down by the lake, and he ripped a few out and started to get to work. But there was still more for him to collect before he could consider himself done. Before long, Zephir's hunt for blueberries was over, but his hunt for other snacks and goodies had just begun.
Some of these wild nuts will do the job... These little berries make for a tasty treat... How about some pinecones? They're pretty good to have around. These mushrooms are safe to eat, and aren't half bad... And some flowers to taste! These ones, and those ones, and...

An hour or two later, Zephir had prepared several bundles of Chicoon-friendly snacks wrapped up in reedy bundles. However, instead of bringing them to the camp right away, he had the idea of hiding each parcel around the surrounding area. In tree hollows, bundled between rocks... In shallow, accessible holes dug into the ground... The thought was that Chicoons nearby could perhaps sniff out hidden bundles, able to treat themselves to a surprise snack sack. Maybe sharing wasn't that bad after all!

Chicoon: Cirrus! I won my first Chicoon, so I am going to continue the prompts using her!

Entry: With the help of some fellow Chicoons, Cirrus was able to move her tent away from the wasps. Bright and early in the morning, Cirrus decided to go out and explore the surrounding areas. Cirrus’ mind often wandered, so she really wanted to keep herself busy. A few minutes into her exploration, Cirrus began to find multiple different types of berries. A thought quickly popped into her head — she could make paint with these berries! Cirrus began to collect the berries and when it looked like she had enough, she headed back to her tent. She managed to find a piece of tree bark, which she would end up using as a palette for the berry paint. Cirrus wanted to make friends, so she pondered a way to make other Chicoons approach her, since she was rather shy. Using her paws, Cirrus created a sunset painting on the fabric of her tent. Although she would not finish until later that evening, Cirrus hoped that she would wake up tomorrow to a bunch of Chicoons wanting to meet the amateur berry painter.

Tail swishing and wings flapping, Wes was happy to see Chicoons returning from their searching today with their new hoards! Some had berries, others flowers, some found nothing and he wished made sure to pass them some stones for their troubles with a smile and a honk. They'll have more luck tomorrow surely!
He eyes the seashells that some brought back, wondering if they had any critters hidden inside, maybe new companions! He hadn't seen any yet though... Wes accepted some berries and nodded his thanks, wishing everyone a good day.

Wes also found some weird fish while searching the tidepools today, with some sharp little chompers! He handed them to LittleMaple and honked before scurrying away. Maybe you should eat them before they eat you....

Entry: Kimmy gasps at the question and bolts off to get her favoritest snack! She honks excitedly around the bag in her mouth as she runs back to Wes dropping the bag at his peets as she sticks a pawb in to root around for what she wants from the bag. She pulls out a very very shiny red apple after a moment of searching and honks triumphantly, showing Wes the treat proudly. Her head wings flap happily, she had harvested these all by herself! They were the sweetest apples in the whole grove, she had tested many many trees apples to ensure that!
