Coconut was on a quick market run with her brother, Jellybean, when she noticed a vendor selling various evolution stones. She tried to ignore the booth, letting her brother tell some odd story or another, but as the stones reflected light everywhere she looked, it became harder and harder to walk away. Before she had the chance to acknowledge it herself, Jellybean stopped mid-sentence and looked over.

"Hey, Coco, look over there!" the Aipom exclaimed, gesturing to the stand with his tail hand. "You've been wanting to evolve, right?"

"Well, at some point, yeah," she said. "But... nothing feels right for me. And don't say Jolteon, you just like them the best because of dad."

"Fine, then," he said. "How about Vaporeon?"

"And loose all my fur? No thanks."

"Leafeon or Glaceon?"

She shook her head, "I wouldn't even know where to go to evolve. Besides, everyone knows ice and grass types are the weakest."

They continued to discuss the various options as they shopped, Coconut quickly shutting down Espeon, Umbreon, and Sylveon.

"Hmmm," Jellybean muttered. "Wait, what about Flareon?"

"Well-" she started, but couldn't find any problems. She liked fire types, and there was a fire stone less than ten feet from her. No new body parts, no strange powers. Just turning orange and breathing fire, like her mother.

The siblings came back home with most of the groceries (Jellybean "forgot" to grab the vegetables) and a fire stone, carefully wrapped in paper. "Mom! Dad! Coco needs to show you something!" Jellybean declared once they stepped into their family's den.

Their parents arrived quickly, both looking like they hadn't moved an inch since they were last seen. "What is it?" Snowfield asked, appearing tired but somewhat curious.

Coconut lifted the paper wrapped fire stone, and without a word, unwrapped it and touched it lightly. Instantly, she began to glow, and small flames surrounded her as she grew much taller. She felt her fur grow thicker, and when the glowing stopped, she saw her fur had become a dull orange. "Surprise?" she said, noticing her voice had become raspier.

Her parents looked at her for a long while, before rushing up to her and enveloping her in a large hug. "We're so proud!" Zappin said. Snowfield didn't speak, just hugged her tighter. Jellybean joined in after a moment, and Coconut realized that she'd never been happier.

It was a windy day, clouds dotted the sky, and a large rainbow had cast itself aross the long blue. Bart stood in an open field; he was scared, so scared to be without his trainer Jenna. He might have been small for a grubbin, so he glanced periodically to the sky in fear that some bird pokemon like a fearow or toucannon would swoop down and eat him up. But sadly, that was the least of his problems today. A tan blue-haired man clad in all black stood before him, a Team Skull Neo member. Team Skull had fallen, but some still remained, calling themselves Team Skull Neo, gone from the influence of Guzma or Lusamine, free to steal and commit crimes all that they desired.
Suddenly out of the bush ran Jenna,
“Bart! There you are! I can’t believe I almost lost you!! Never run away like that again!” she exclaimed as the grunt strode up.
“So this is your pathetic little grubbin; guess I’ll just have to take it from you!” the man smeared, throwing out a pokeball and realizing a large inky serviper. Jenna reached for her pokeballs to throw out something stronger; Bart was not a fighting kind of pokemon after all. But before she could, the serviper lunged. Luckily Bart was swift for a grub and dogged the attack. Before Jenna could stop him, he lunged at the snake, hitting it as hard as he could with his sharp fangs, the serviper retaliated, sending him flying and breaking off one of his horns! The pain shot through him as he tried to stand. He was a strong grub, and no matter his size, he would do anything to protect the trainer who raised him from an egg.
Suddenly he began to glow, he grew larger and more rectangular, and his horns grew in size; he was evolving. An olive green charjabug stood before them, and quickly he lunged forwards, knocking out the serviper in one hit with his still broken horn. The grunt recalled his pokemon and reached for another but Jenna reached down to meet his eyes with a deathly stare.
“This isn't over!” he shouted before running off into the jungle. The newly evolved Bart looked up sadly into Jenna’s eyes, afraid that she would love him, not that he had changed, but Jenna simply nealed down and hugged him.

It was a deep dark tower hidden within the farthest reaches of the Alolan jungle, hidden from any adventurer who would dare to explore. Jenna and Bart, now a brave and muscled charjabug, were two of those explorers. Jenna, of course, had her other pokemon with her, wrapped up tightly in their balls, but even the likes of Arsenic, a particularly devious Arbok, had to admit he was afraid.
So up the tower, they went, really getting in their cardio as Jenna climbed the steps, Bart bouncing along next to her. Finally, after climbing for around ten whole minutes, slowing as they went higher from exhaustion, they reached to top. It was a wide room; old wooden furniture lay broken and strewn about. The stone walls kept it a nice cool temperature on a hot day. After resting for a minute and drinking water Jenna had brought, a necessity in hot weather or going on any adventure, they looked closer about the room. Red moth-eaten banners waved in the wind as they hung on iron hangers upon the walls. An amulet coin lay upon the ground; Jenna quickly snatched it up and put it into her hiking bag. A pokeloot was also upon the floor, and inside was a… full restore!
Finally, their eyes rested upon a medium sized brown chest; Bart hesitated but went over to open it up. Coins upon coins were inside it, 15,000 poke dollars to be exact, along with a curious green stone. Reaching into the chest curiously, he touched the stone gently, and suddenly, he was something else. A large vikavolt a blue shell with an orange face and body. His horns were yellow-tipped in orange, but still, the left one was broken.
