to be fair, nightfall doesn’t has a knack for any type of storytelling at all. you could ask him about to tell a story, but he’ll hesitate on the spot unless it’s something he knows by heart, like his ghost story. so, if he had to be in a play, he’d be on stage crew. carrying props around and helping set scenes seems to him to suite himself better. but, based off of how it was asked, they want him on stage. so, he’ll be the ensemble, maybe even a small role like a onetime messenger. he feels like he can easily pull that without screwing up.

Art/Blurb: Well, Haywing wasn't originally named Jack for nothing! He'd be best suited for the role of a character you could call Jack. Now, this doesn't need to be the main character, persay, a la Jack and the Beanstalk - no, no, any old role will do, but it's about... the essence. The energy. The jack of all trades master of none character. The streetwise scamp who you may not assume so at first, but readily shows he has a heart of gold character. Maybe even someone just a little older than the main character, with a lot more worldly experience, acting as a kind of mentor figure, despite not being all that much older and mostly just teaching their street smarts and looking out for the main character's safety? Yeah. Yeah, something like that would do him well.

Haywing wouldn't say it like that, though. He'd mostly just shrug and say I don't know, a wanderer? A background character? But come on. You know he can do more than that.

Kiprey would be the energetic and loveable side character! His character would most likely be the little brother/a little brother figure for the main character of the play, and would be the one to push them to go on whatever quest was the focal point of the play - either by doing something reckless and needing rescuing or by begging to go on an adventure with the main character. If the play involved him being kidnapped, it would most likely end with his character befriending the antagonist and convincing the main character to help them through whatever is making them act out.

Art/blurb: Swallowflight literally lept at the chance to be part of a play. He remembers the elders telling tales to the kits and sometimes jumped in with sound effects.

It's amazing what he sounds he can make with a stick, rock, and tin can.

musical, play, it doesn't matter what it is, gecko would be the one person who gets assigned to be a tree on stage. they don't really like publicly performing and would probably get a kick out of just standing on the stage holding a cut-out of a tree in order to be apart of the scenery. even if there wasn't a tree in the script they would find a way to sneak one in there and just be a tree standing there, doing nothing. mmmmaybe "accidentally" tripping up the other performers on stage just to see what would happen.

Sundew would be more than glad to be part of the 'backstage' crew, it's what they're best at after all! Delivering things is their job back at home, so giving the campers props would be no issue. If she needed to let a cat know where it's their turn to go up and act, he could deliver that message easy as catching a sleeping mouse! She'd be playing a super important part all from the shadows. She'd be keeping the whole thing running smoothly!!

However.. as much as she enjoyed this role and would do it again in a heartbeat, he had his dreams. Oh how he longed to have a chance to play in front of everyone, a secondary role who seemed like a ditzy side character, by soon revealed to be a wonderful dancer and singer with a heart of gold and a whole lot of unique charm, winning the audience over in a moment of tension and having the best - and most fun - act of the night!!

For now.. she'd just quietly meow the songs and silently act the moves from the back. She had a role she enjoyed, and she was proud to be the one keeping things running in this little camp play.

Smolderingkestrel did not enjoy this idea one bit. But he supposed he had to ‘play along’ and try and get along with everyone still…oh well.
If he absolutely had to participate, Smolder would definitely play the role of a morally grey character or a villain. While he’s still working on himself and his morals and thoughts and issues, he’d definitely enjoy giving into his more evil or cruel urges when there’s no real life consequences. You see, it’s the consequences part that dissuades Smolder from actually committing crimes. If he could do whatever he wanted and not have to deal with the fallout - that’s his idea of perfect. Maybe this play wouldn’t be so terrible after all.

meadowshine would definitely prefer to be a behind-the-scenes kind of cat. while she's far from shy and wouldn't mind being the center of attention as part of the cast, she'd much rather help with the plot or props! her love for crafts would make her one of the best suited cats to help out with props and costumes wherever her assistance is needed, no matter the issue. meanwhile, if anyone needs inspiration of any sort, they'd know to come to her for her creative sparks.

Art/blurb: honeybee wouldn't really have a specific role in mind, and she'd be happy to go along with the other campers' ideas. the idea of acting on stage would make her anxious, so a role in the background would be the best fit for her. she wouldn't mind even having a line or two and, aside from her initial apprehension, would be excited to be a part of it!

Grape Jelly and Cheeto wouldn't play roles in a play or musical, exactly. No, they would much rather write the entire script and all the songs instead. In fact, they went ahead and did just that!

(Script is actually [mostly] written by AI Dungeon so please don't give me exp for this!)

    Frosting on Pluto
xxx script by Grape Jelly and songs by Cheeto

    Act 1, Scene 1

The setting is the Great Beyond, where cats and birds live together. (It is called the "Great Beyond" because it has no name.) The cat Chomp and the bird Cheeto are sitting on a rock, watching the rest of the world go by. They are discussing a famous musician named Chocolate Snow. Chomp says that she can't believe he is dead. She says that he was so funny. Cheeto says that he was so cool.

    Act 1, Scene 2

The cat and the bird are sitting in a meadow, looking at a purple sunset. They are thinking about how great it is to be alive. The cat says, "I wish I had seen him perform live." The bird says, "I wish I had some of his album."

Suddenly, they see a spaceship coming down from the sky. It lands in the middle of the meadow, and out steps a man named Chocolate. The man says he is a ghost, and he wants to know if anyone knows how to fly a spaceship. The cat and the bird point him in the direction of the spaceship behind them. The man thanks the cat and the bird and walks into the spaceship. He flies it away.

    Act 1, Scene 3

The cat and the bird are sitting at a computer. The computer screen says "What Happens in the Great Beyond, Stays in the Great Beyond." The cat and the bird are writing a musical. They are inspired by Chocolate, who is walking past them in a tiny little body. They sing,

      Chocolate! Chocolate!
We want to sing for you!
Do you like the way we rock?
(It's just Cheeto and Grape Jelly!)
      We can do it, Chocolate!
Do you like the way we rock?
(It's just Cheeto and Grape Jelly!)

    Act 2, Scene 1

Chocolate is a ghost who loves cheese. He and his partner, the ghost of Earl the chicken, are driving in a car. Earl says that they have been driving around for hours, and they still have no idea what Chocolate's music is about.

Earl says, "You know what I think? I think this music is about Chocolate's dead partner, Earl the chicken. I think the songs are about Earl the chicken, and I think the songs are about Chocolate Snow."

Earl the chicken says, "Yeah, I think that's what it is."

The ghost of Earl the chicken, who is named Earl, is a chicken ghost. Chickens can't be ghosts. Chickens are not alive. Chickens are just stupid animals.

    Act 2, Scene 2

Cheeto and Grape Jelly are in a spaceship, flying around in a galaxy called the Milky Way. They are writing songs about their lives. The galaxy is mostly black, except for a few little lights, like stars. One of the lights is named Earth. The spaceship they are in is called the Milky Way. The Milky Way was named by a cat and a bird who think that the name is cool.

    Act 2, Scene 3

Cheeto and Grape Jelly are sitting in a recording studio, writing a song. They are very sad. They say they will never be rich. They say that they will never be famous. They say that they will never find love. They say that they will never be happy. They sing,

      Cheeto!
      We are so low!
      Grape!
      Oh, no!
      We're so low!
      Grape!
      Oh, no!

(They are singing in a weird way.)
They say they will never be happy.
    They sing about the moon.
    (Grape! Grape! Grape!)

    Act 3, Scene 1

Earl the chicken is a ghost. He is very excited about Chocolate's new album, "Chocolate in the Sky". Earl says that it was written about him and his partner, Earl the chicken. He says that he will fly around the country and listen to people sing about him. Earl says that his new name will be Earl the Chicken Man. Earl the Chicken Man is a chicken ghost. Chickens are not ghosts. Chickens are animals.

    Act 3, Scene 2

Earl the Chicken Man is flying over a big city. He can see people in the streets, and they are singing songs about him. Earl says, "They are singing about me! That is so great!" He is very happy.

Suddenly, a man runs up to him and says, "Earl? Is that you? I just heard some great songs about you on the radio!" The man is an actual chicken. The man is Earl the Chicken.

Earl says, "Yeah, well, I guess I'm in the music business, too!"

    Act 3, Scene 3

Earl and Earl the Chicken Man are in a restaurant. Earl the Chicken Man is having dinner. He eats some cheese and broccoli. Earl the Chicken Man orders some cheese and fries.

Earl the Chicken Man and the man are sitting at a table. They are looking at the menu. Earl says the cheese is good. Earl says the cheese is very good. Earl the Chicken Man says the cheese is very good. The man says the cheese is very good.

The man says, "Do you know who I am?"

Earl the Chicken Man says, "No, I don't."

The man says, "I'm Earl the Chicken."

Earl says, "Oh, great! I'm the Earl the Chicken Man!"

Earl the Chicken Man laughs. The man says, "Yeah, no, it's just a cool name. It's a cool business name."

Earl the Chicken Man says, "Yeah, I know...it's just a cool name."

    Act 4, Scene 1

Chocolate is flying in the spaceship. He is singing a song called "Raining Cheese". Chocolate is very happy. He is very in love. He is very in love with Chocolate Snow.

      Raining cheese,
      Falling down,
      In a spaceship,
      I'm the only human!

      I've got a name,
      And it's a strange one,
      And it's a funny one.
And that ain't nothin' to sneeze at!

      I'm floating in a space,
      And there ain't no gravity!
And I'm wearing a pair of checkered pants,
And I'm wearing a green sweater.

Do you think I should I try to fly?
Should I turn myself into butter?
Should I try to take a trip to the moon?
And do you think I should I turn myself into a fish?
Oh no, I think I'll try to walk instead,
      And I think I'll take a bath!
      And I think I'll sing a song!
And I think I'll think about it.
And I think I'll go to bed!

Earl the chicken is singing too. Earl the chicken is very happy. He is very in love. He is very in love with Earl the Chicken.

Earl the Chicken Man is sitting alone at a table. He is eating a cheese sandwich. He is very lonely.

    Act 4, Scene 2

Earl the Chicken is in a recording studio. He is sitting in front of a microphone made out of a sock. He is singing a song about his partner, Earl the Chicken. He is very happy. He says his partner is very special. He says Earl the Chicken is very special. He says that his partner is very special. He says Earl the Chicken is very special. He says his partner is very special.

    Act 4, Scene 3

Earl the Chicken Man is sitting alone in a recording studio. He is playing a guitar. He is wearing a cowboy hat. He is wearing jeans. He is wearing boots. He is very sad. He is thinking about the love of his life, Earl the Chicken. He is very depressed.

He says, "I am a failure. I am a disgrace. I am not a singer. I am not a musician. I am nothing."

Suddenly, he sees a pair of chicken wings. The wings say, "Earl? Is that you?"

Earl the Chicken Man says, "Yeah, I think so."

The wings say, "How have you been?"

Earl the Chicken Man says, "I am lonely. I am very lonely."

The wings say, "Don't be so lonely, Earl."

Earl the Chicken Man says, "I can't help it. I just miss you, Earl."

The wings say, "I miss you too, Earl."

Earl the Chicken Man says, "Do you think you can help me, wings?"

The wings say, "I think so."

    Act 4, Scene 4

Earl the Chicken Man is in a recording studio. He is sitting down. He is wearing a chicken mask. He is very, very excited. He is playing a guitar. He is singing a song about the chicken.

      Wish you were a chicken
So you could be eating some cheese!
      Wish you were a duck
So you could be floating in the water!
      Wish you were a fish
So you could be swimming around in the lake!
      Wish you were a frog
So you could be hopping in the mud!
      Wish you were a mosquito
So you could be drinking my blood!
      Wish you were an ant
So you could be crawling through my house!

He is very, very happy. He says the chicken is very, very happy. He says he will be rich and famous. He says he will be on the cover of every magazine.
