It's a strange thing to feel, and an irrational one. He knows as well as anyone that they are but two halves of a whole, two sides of the same coin. There cannot be one without the other. They complete each other.

And yet, how else is he supposed to feel? That which blooms is what's more beloved, held in higher regard. There is less appreciation for his side in nature, and why wouldn't there be? He is bringer of rot and wither and decay, of endings. No one is much comforted when they reflect on endings, even if it is only through ends that you can begin again.

So he lets himself hold on to it, feel it even though he knows he shouldn't. It doesn't do him anything well to dwell on it.

But here she was, banished to the forest because of her unoptimistic attitude and not being a creature of the light like the Umbreons, Eevees and other Pokémon. She laid down, stretching her tail as she began to rest. (71 Words)

prompt: Flora the Umbreon always wondered what laid beyond the tree line she was forbidden from crossing, but she never expected this.

Flora snuck past the watch of the adult Espeons and the sneaky Eevee teenagers who would tell on her to the adults immediately if they saw her. So she carefully snuck through the tall grass that was close to the forest entrance to sneak in.

Walking in she noticed a peculiar silhouette, walking closer it was an Umbreon, with mushrooms on their back. Walking over she noticed it's small and timid silhouette lay sleeping in a moss bed.

Soon, they became friends, Bloom and Decay understanding and enjoying each other's fates together. (113 Words)
