Personalities of the Crows:

Oculus- Curious, they wish to see everything they can of the world and its people! These sights they bring back to their home/colony, hoping to expand their knowledge in the process! Quiet, calm, and ever-observant.

Tactile- They are curious, but of how things feel. As such they fly the world over for various new textures to feel, and then share these with the colony upon their return. They wear their heart on their sleeve, they are close to the others, and often like to cuddle close. Hates being alone.

Sonar- Likes to be noisy and collect all kinds of sounds. They are capable of playing any sound they collect back to the others! Jittery, always excited, always on. They never seem to calm down, or sleep. Hyper is an understatement!

Appetit- Like the others they also collect, but in their case it is tastes around the world. They bring these memories back to share, and are an excellent conversationalist. Composed, self-assured, and a bit of a snob ooops.

Names of the Crows: Draum, Eiðr, Fróði, Agi
Their names are derived from Norse words for dream, oath, clever, and fear. I felt inspired by the two ravens of Odin, Huginn and Muginn, who act as his "thought" and "memory". While Rune is independent of these four shadows, they are gravitated to each other through a force that still remains a mystery. Though it was after Rune lost the vision in her right eye that she began to see them.

Personalities of the Crows: All crows are agender and use they/them pronouns, as they are more concept than entity

◉ Draum - (bottom left) they are free-spirited and somewhat clumsy, always acting like they just woke up from a nap. Draum aids Rune by bringing her a sense of peace or relieves stress by cuddling, playing or making soft cooing noises.

◉ Eiðr - (bottom right) they were the first crow to find Rune and grew incredibly protective of her, always keeping an eye out for trouble. Their loyalty knows no bounds and Rune considers Eidr her most trusted confidant.

◉ Fróði - (top right) they are fast and cunning. Frodi is always the one who brings Rune the most trinkets, and Rune quickly learned not to pry into where they came from but to accept them most graciously. A fickle crow, they are prone to mood swings as easily as the wind blows.

◉ Agi - (bottom middle) A scardy-bird if Rune ever knew one, though also the most inquisitive. They are often found intently observing the world around them, and are not so easily distracted by baubles like Frodi. It is always Agi who senses danger first, but is not necessarily the first to voice a warning.

Personalities of the Crows: Zurich is very mischievous! He enjoys playing with Kaida and playing pranks on the other shadows, even if it sometimes gets annoying. They can be quite selfish and hoard their stuff, they have been known to get quite aggressive when he is missing something. His favourite item is a small sapphire he once stole from a birds nest as he passed.

Mercury is arrogant, he shows off at every opportunity and will always flaunt his looks as he flies around, he will always get into your face and be the centre of your attention unless you put him into his place. He is however is very unaware of others feelings, but he loves to help people through their problems and listen.

Dahlia is very kind, she is the most helpful shadow crow, and will help without even asking. She loves to watch people grow and flourish and will always challenge people, she is very good at reading people and knows people as if everybody is her best friend. However when she is in a bad mood she tends to isolate herself and bottle it up until it explodes in a huge burst.

Inky is childish, he loves playing games and loves putting on shows, he will always fly the highest and finds it fun to ride on Kaida's back. He also loves to roll around in mud and collect rocks, finding the childlike wonder in every activity. Along with his personality comes the chance of tantrums and nobody would like to be around him then.

Personalities of the Crows:
Gǎnqíng (Feelings/emotional attachment) is the crow who helps control and provide emotions to Jing. Gǎnqíng is a friendly crow who finds pleasure in helping others, however, he is often seen as weird because of his uncontrollable emotions caused by being the source of Jing's.

Gǎnjué (Feel/sense) is the embodiment of Jing's senses. He is the eyes and ears. Gǎnjué is also the leader of the crows. He is a rule follower and quite strict. Gǎnjué also keeps up an emotionless facade which can only be seen through by Jing and Gǎnqíng. Behind that facade lies a young chick that finds interest in sweets and toys.

Nénglì (Ability/capability) is the crow who represents Jing's abilities. Nénglì is carefree and curious, however, she knows her limits. Nénglì is the fastest and smartest crow, but she doesn't boast about it. Although Nénglì has a free personality, she has horrible social skills which leads to her always sticking to Jing or one of her friends when they enter a village or something of the sort.

Tǐzhí (Constitution/physique) is the crow who repairs and nurtures Jing's body. Unlike how they should act based on their duty, Tǐzhí is quite uncaring. They have little sympathy towards others with the only exception being Jing. Despite not caring for others, Tǐzhí hates being indebt to others so he'll repay the smallest of actions in less than 3 days.
