If Khino could pick a flower, she would be an ice plant. Even in the hottest environments, they look like they have been forever frozen in ice. The succulents have water vacuoles on the outside of the plant to retain water and grow in salty or nutrient deficient soils. Khino thinks these hardy plants deal with water storage differently and in a unique way so Khino would live well as an ice plant for sure!
