This is more so an Asian superstition.
If you have a loved one that passed and it is the day of their cremation/burial, you’re not suppose to cry too hard/much. Their soul would not be able to rest knowing that you cried so hard and they can’t go peacefully into the afterlife as they would worry about you.

This is the reason why Jason never cries when it’s time. He’s built up a tough wall around his heart for this.
