show: a quote from my main man arthur morgan from the video game red dead redemption 2. I love this character and so help me god, I will not not replay that game. if you haven't I really recommend it. `but enough gushing. the quote/name itself means what it says on the tin. no matter what anybody says, you have to stay loyal to what is important to YOU, and that, no matter how much loyalty means to you, you've never to be blinded by it. wise words, my stinky lil' cowboy, wise words.

kennel: noun; a desperate or reckless person, especially a criminal. I think this name is fitting for the songs and the show name, especially since arthur morgan was the most desperate desperado, given his morals and the way things ... well, the poor guy just wanted out, not to spoil anything if you haven't played, but desperado not only is a cool name (in my own humble opinion) but also fits the source material to a 't'.

Prompt: really showing just how bad my eclectic taste is here but I think this collie would be a die-hard fan of country and western in any media portrayal. I just get those type of vibes from him, maybe cos his red saddle markings remind me of, well, a saddle (and he kinda looks like a horse but I love that for him): it has to be 'folsom prison blues' by johnny cash. either that or 'mountain hymn' by rhiannon giddons on the red dead redemption 2 soundtrack.

'folsom' is the story of a man who laments on his past and wishes he could ride the train away from his confinement in san rio. I think this collie would listen to this song because he wants to sit and listen to something (even if it's a little melancholy) and just think. think about this character that cash has written about and try to get to know the character and what they could have been prompted to do what he did in the song.

whereas 'mountain hymn' may not have such a lyrical story as 'folsom prison blues' it definitely hits home and is an incredibly sad song that I think this collie would enjoy. perhaps not a song if you're looking for something happy. but desperado would listen to this song because he misses his little gay cowboy from 1899. he reminisces when he didn't know about the van der linde gang's fate but wouldn't have it any other way. maybe they're a masochist for fictional characters, maybe he just loves that game. who's to know?
