I honestly love all kinds of dragons, and I mean that in the most sincere way. Dragons, as a whole, are such a creative and fun concept, and I love how unique yet uniform they all manage to be. You can't make an incorrect dragon, everyone gets to have fun making whatever kind of dragon they want to. You know a dragon is a dragon when you see it, yet they're all so different and fun. Feathers, fur, smooth skin, big or tiny scales, wings, whiskers, lots of legs, fins, I love them all. As far as elements go in regards to dragons, you can't go wrong with a good old fire breath. <3

prompt:I've loved dragons ever since I was a kid. One of my first big interests as a child were dinosaurs, and dragons have a similar vibe to dinosaurs imo. I honestly really can't choose a "favourite". There are countless depictions of dragons and each has their own unique charm and character. So I'm going to write about my top two favourite dragons, if that's okay. If not please let me know and I will edit my form and I'll try cut it down to one!

I love amphiptere, because they are like a mixture of a wyrm and a typical looking dragon or wyvern. And when it's hard to pick a favourite dragon, it's good to have options that look like a mix between two! They captivate me because they look so slender and graceful, almost regal. They can also be depicted in more than one way: like scaly snakes with bat-like wings, or they can have a bird-like appearance with some feathers and a beak added into the mix. I love both depictions for different reasons but my favourite would have to be the latter. I love the feathers and the bird-like softness - I can imagine it preening itself with its beak and singing beautifully. They're the kind of dragon you can imagine having as a pet! And I've always yearned to be able to have a pet dragon.

Hydra is my other favourite. It is another dragon that can have multiple depictions. Hydra can have either the body of a typical dragon, or a serpentine body like a wyrm. It's one constant is that it has multiple heads -- that have the ability to regrow. Every time one head is removed, another one or two sprout up in its place. I think it's the only dragon that has regeneration powers like that. In some depictions of the hydra, each head can use the power of a different element - which I really like. I love pretty much all the different elemental powers so a dragon that has the ability to do most, if not all of them, of course would have to be one of my favourites. Because of all that i think hydra is a pretty cool and interesting dragon. It's one you wouldn't want to get in a fight with, that's for sure!

As for which element is my favourite... That's even harder than picking a favourite dragon actually, haha. I love water and wind elementals. I like the features, that come with water elemental dragons. I love gills and fins, and just sea-serpent types in general. And I've always loved water. I can't swim very well and I'm pretty much blind without my glasses, but when I was young my favourite school day was any day we got to go to the pool. I also really love warrior cats, and my favourite Clan of course, is Riverclan. When we were allowed to play freely after our swimming lesson, sometimes I'd pretend I was a mermaid or a Riverclan cat.
Wind elemental dragons feel kind of fairy-like and soft to me, which I really gravitate towards. They also have the ability to cause hurricanes and other natural disasters, which I think is pretty powerful. I like the contrast of something looking angelic, but having the ability to absolutely wreak havoc. Just one exhale and a complete town could be blown away. But I like to imagine that the soft and fairy-like wind types are dragons that only use their powers when they feel pushed into it. That resonates with me on a very personal level.

Such a difficult question! I've been obsessed with dragons (and fantasy creatures in general) since I was young. I would spend hours pouring over Dragonology, playing dragons during recess, and drawing dragons in all my notebooks. Now, I mainly channel my love of dragons into playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends (and lots of rewatches of HTTYD), so I wanted to talk about the metallic dragons in D&D!

Unsurprisingly there are many different types of dragons in a game named after them, haha! The five types of dragons are chromatic, planar, lung, gem, and my favorite: the metallic dragons! Metallic dragons are good aligned dragons that are known to be helpful to worthy adventurers. Metallic dragons come in many types as well: gold, silver, copper, bronze, brass, mercury, iron, steel, and platinum. Each type has different environments in which they thrive, different elements they control, and different personality quirks. Of all of those let me narrow down my favorite: the brass dragon!

Brass dragons are known to love to talk, so much so that they've bored enemies to sleep with their hours long chatter! It's not unusual for brass dragons to be fluent in several hundred different languages of all races, although they prefer to talk in their native tongue of Draconic. Even newly hatched brass dragons can become fluent in a new language in under an hour! They are the weakest and most benign of the metallic dragons, and rarely engage in combat. Brass dragons prefer extremely hot environments, like scorching deserts, and can go for long periods without water. They are unique and have two types of breath weapons: fire and sleeping gas.

I'm so drawn to the brass dragon because learning languages is something I have always struggled with, but desperately wish I was better! I am a total people person, and my ADHD gives me a tendency to ramble on and on while I talk, even if I don't mean to! I would love to befriend a brass dragon so that I'd always have a long-winded conversational companion (and the sleep gas would definitely help with the pesky insomnia that ADHD comes with as well). In addition, fire is my favorite element traditionally associated with dragons because it's the classic dragon archetype (and I'm a fiery Aries so I love anything with a spark)! x

phew, to be honest I am not the biggest fantasy fan so I know next to nothing about dragon lore, but I have enjoyed the Eragon books and I am a big fan of the Witcher (yay for Jaskier!dragon fanfic XD) at least, so I hope that is enough to allow me to try out for this amazing zeb, because while I have no preferences when it comes to the type of dragon, I do have a certain type of storyline that I like best, and that is the one where the people are made to also see a positive side about dragons and dragons are not solely portrayed as monsters - I think that most things certainly are not black nor white, and that's why I like these stories so much where we can see the other side/ can learn to have respect for other living things even if we dont understand them, and also learn that it is important to question heavily one-sided stories!

I have to say I had to think long and hard on my favorite kind of Dragon. There are so many different shapes and sizes when it comes to dragons, I think part of the reason why dragons are one of my favorite creatures is exactly because of that freedom of depiction. If I had to chose a few of my favorites of those designs it would have to be Wyverns, Avatar's Ikran's, and the Dragons of Monster Hunter Games. There was always something rather elegant about Wyverns and the shape of their bodies to me, but Avatar managed to take that design and add this beauty and awe of a new world, beautiful colors, and this magical bond them and their riders shared. I've been obsessed with the creatures of Pandora since the movie, but ikrans remain one of the favorites. As for the Monster Hunter games, it has to be the variety and creativity of the designs that have earned a place as some of the coolest dragons in a game I've played yet.

Water. I mean, it varies from time to time depending on the energy of the day.. but I always come back to water. It's kind of hard to explain, or even know, why exactly it's water that I resonate the most with, but I've just always been drawn to it. It calms me, feels like home. I could watch fish in an aquarium, big or small, for hours, fall asleep listening to rain, and get lost on a beach listening to and watching the waves. Some call it a Mermaid's Soul, but I didn't grow up next to the ocean, infact I hadn't even seen it in person well into my middle school years. Whatever it is, I do know that I'll always love water, It's beautiful, and of course has some of the best aesthetics.

First of all, when you look at my nick name, you can immediately see that I love dragons. However, if I were to say which one do I like the most? I think the european dragon is my favorite. His slender body, strong legs, long tail and powerful wings allow him to glide through the skies. The possibility of breathing fire is another of its advantages. It can be of different colors and sizes. It all makes this creature beautiful, graceful and showing the strength it possesses. I love drawing these creatures in my spare time.

However, as for the element ... here is the problem. Each of them has a power and each is different. Probably the wind / air that appeals to me the most. Constant movement and strength that is usually not taken into account when thinking about it. Yeah, that's my favourite.

as far as my favorite dragon would go -- it would hands down have to be the oriental dragon (especially those of darker colors!) there has always been something that has called me to them, including: their long bodies that look so cute when wrapped around anything while also looking fierce and mighty, the long whiskers that you can find on their faces, and how fluffy they generally are!

as far as elements go, my favorite is oddly a 50/50 split between fire and ice! i noticed that when playing games, i have a tendency to lean towards classes with ice abilities but in my heart i truly do think i favor fire! if i had to show an example, i think i might just want a power simple to that of todoroki's quirk from my hero academia -- why choose one when you can have both!
