i'll give two because both are weird. they might be a bit scary for some people, so just watch out. i was never scared by any of them, but others might be?
the first one was a frequent, recurring dream i had as a child around the age of 5-8. it's the zombie apocalypse and the entire world is washed in tones of grey, blue and black. i'm driving with my family on a lonely road, and everything around us is wilted. we eventually arrive in this small town (think film western size) with all the doors and windows barricaded. as we see no zombies around us, nor see any sign of recent activity, we get out and start to go through the houses one-by-one to scavenge for anything useful. in the last house, there's a cellar with an outside entrance with those horizontal doors that open upwards. we go inside to check it out and nothing seems out of the ordinary. somehow we realise that all the zombies are inside the cellar, hundreds of them, and we clamour to get out as fast as possible. we all make it out, or so we think. just as we reach our car, we realise that my dad isn't with us. he's a rather large man and he got stuck in the cellar door. he tells us to just drive as far away as fast as possible, and that's all i remember.
the second is much more recent and it's also a recurring one that i dreamt at least twice a month over the span of a year and a half. in the cellar of my parents house, we have a saddle room where we keep all the gear for our horses. the walls and roof in the cellar are lined completely by concrete and bricks, but in this dream there were wooden rafters and the lighting wasn't very good. i was always putting away the gear with an uneasy feeling, when suddenly i was stung to d*ath by what felt like a big scorpion tail. the creature always changed. sometimes it was a giant scorpion, other times it was a manticore, an alien, hell, i even dreamt up my own bird-like mishmash. the only constant facts were that i was stung by its tail, that i d*ed in the end and that i knew i was dreaming, but couldn't do anything to change it. it was almost like having an out-of-body experience while inside my own body.
