Hello! I got him like that (with the seemingly two different designs), and I think its a redesign - so the unshaded art is the original design, and the previous owner commissioned a new design (the art with shading). Hence why the clothes are extremely similar, and some details like eye color and hair length are still the same.
You're welcome to split them up into two different OCs (maybe the clothes are the uniform of a school) if you'd like! I decided to keep the two art pieces together as is, but that's not a rule.
