Despite Archel's reputation as a heartbreaker, he never broke Flue's heart. The steady warrior knew what she was doing when she got into a relationship; she didn't expect anything long-term with Archel — just long enough for him to provide her with kits. Mink and Sparky are extremely liberal parents! Meaning, they often enjoy allowing their litter to hang out with anyone they know is safe, learning on their own, etc! Both of them believe that when the kit can learn on their own, they'll learn the best.

Dawnstrider would be the distantly protective while Crow is the upfront protective parent. Crow tends to hover and make sure that their kits are alright while Dawnstrider sits back and waits for anything to approach his kits before jumping into action. Aside from their protective natures, both parents show affection towards their kittens. Crow is very outwardly affectionate, often seen snuggling his kids or picking them up even when they're a bit too old to be carried. He gets very huffy whenever his kids try to insist they're too old for cuddles, and will simply wrap himself around them. Dawnstrider isn't quite as outwardly affectionate, but shows love for his kits through keeping them close to him, as well as encouraging them to be who they want to be. He also expresses his affection through teaching his kits what he knows.
