Forum/viewtopic.php?t=4658130answer to prompt; Christmas events for Sango start a week before Christmas day.
Since he spends the day with family, he likes to do something nice for his friends beforehand. He bakes sugar cookies to decorate with icing and sprinkles, white chocolate peppermint fudge, and pecan pie bars. It's a full baking day for him, but he loves it.
For the cookies he has several cutters perfect for the season; sock stocking, tree, angel, reindeer, snowflake, snowman, light bulb, and star. His icing and sprinkles colors also have the prefect range of colors needed for the season; red, green, white, blue, and yellow. He makes seven dozen cookies. It's enough to give his friends some, bring to his family, and obviously taste test some! These are the first things he makes since sugar cookies are a long process. After rolling out the dough, it needs to be chilled so it is easier to use the cutters.
While the dough is chilling, Sango starts on the fudge. He likes to use semi-sweet chocolate due to the sweetness the other ingredients bring. After the ingredients have melted together, he adds peppermint extract and crushes up mini candy canes for crunch, then spreads it out to chill for cutting into squares later.
After the fudge is done, he gets the cookie dough to start cutting and baking. While the cookies bake, he makes the crust for his pecan pie bars and filling to be ready for when all the cookies are done. His friend Halo comes over to help decorate all the cookies otherwise it would take all night too! She loves to be creative with the designs.
The next few days Sango takes the time to personally deliver all the sweets to his friends. He loves seeing their faces with excitement with what goodies he made since he makes something different every year. Last year he made gingerbread cookies, chocolate mint fudge, and yule logs.
For Christmas, he spends the night with his family so he can wake up and spend the day with them. They enjoy a wonderful breakfast his mom has made that is a traditional breakfast they have every year; Christmas morning wife saver. Afterwards, they open presents and laugh together. Sango always enjoys his gift; he loves to collect buttons and patches for his jacket, and his family always finds cool looking ones for him to add. If the weather isn't too cold outside, they go sledding and ice skating after presents. Sango is 'okay' at ice skating. He can't go backwards and do fancy tricks like his sisters, he might even fall once, but it's still fun for him.
At lunch time, Sango always goes to meet up with Halo. She likes to return the favor of baked sweets from him by making him his favorite for lunch, a reuben sandwich. They have been friends for so long they can't even remember a time of not doing something fun and nice for each other. Sometimes Halo even joins Sango's family for Christmas if her parents are away on vacation.
When dinner time rolls around, Sango helps prepare a side, sauce for the ham, and gravy for the turkey. It is a huge feast to feed his family. He has three sisters (two having partners), a brother (with a partner), two nieces, his parents, and his mom's parents. His favorite sides are green bean casserole and mashed potatoes. If someone made baked mac and cheese, he digs into that too. He also likes to go for the ham more than the turkey on Christmas. For dessert, they change it up every year. This time his grandma made cheery pie, his favorite of hers. Sango loves it so much he gets two slices, filling him up to the point of passing out by the fireplace.
