If there's anyone that is known to complain about the harsh weather in an unbearable manner, the worst of all seems to be Rootsnap. Despite being a hardened soldier, the tom is one to constantly complain about all the effort he puts into aiding the hunters, only to return with nothing. He'll complain about the snow that would cling to his pelt, the stoney ground freezing his pawpads. He complains about how thin and weak he is, despite everyone being in the same boat. It's a never ending cycle it seems, no one is able to shut him up for even a moment. So, they merely ignore him for now...eventually, those irritable cries would fade away. Surely, they would.

The fluffy tom hissed, picking up a paw coated in thick, wet snow. Muffled laughter rose around him and he pinned his ears, shaking the snow out of his toes and planting his foot back down firmly. "What are you laughing about? It's so cold," Howlinghiss grumbled, upset. He was used to the shelter of a boat - even though he had always lived out on the open water, he had always been covered and protected from the snow and cold. Out here with the clan, he often felt overexposed to the elements despite his thick fur. Foxfang laughed, coming up to twine their tails together. "Come on," he murmured, smiling up at Howlinghiss. "It's not that bad, is it?" There was a gleam of contentment and amusement in the smaller orange tom's bright eyes, and Howlinghiss couldn't help but smile. It was still too cold if you asked him, though.

there are a bunch of kitties that dislike winter in faerie! from fairies, elves, dwarves, villagers and pirates, there's always at least a couple that have strong feelings about it! but none of their hate could ever measure up to the one and only captain edric! he's basically seen scowling for the most of the winter and especially hates the holidays, which really, is no surprise considering his boisterous crew that always has new plans to convince their captain that winter is not as bad as he thinks! c:

Winter was a cursed time of year.

The King spun on his heel, slamming the glass-stained windows shut. Shut against the blasted, frigid gales just hammering against the marble palace walls.

Except... the window shattered.

Thousands of shards littered the ground, glinting at him, a resounding mockery. His teeth gnashed sharply. Curse the window. Curse its fragility. Curse it all.

He needed a feast, his crown and his gold.
Not to deal with the remants of a fragile broken window.

"Servant!" His gaze caught the barest flicker gliding down the halls. "Clean this up. And while you're at it, tell the chef to prepare something. I'm freezing."

It's the solstice of wintre and Anhima can't think straight. There's no snow, no cold. The Kingdom's temperate climate reigns supreme, even in the midst of worldwide snowfall...

And yet—

"Father—Father, I'm cold," the prince whines miserably. It's not a simple chill; what he's feeling would be better compared to standing furless in a blizzard. He's not sick — fae don't get sick. It's just—

The Sunmaster approaches with an apologetic grimace, casting his fluffed-up tail over his son. "Your powers are unsettled, Anhima. My presence may lessen the effects; however, I cannot 'fix' you short of turning to exorcism."

Anhima makes a truly pitiful noise, embarrassed up the Seventh Sky. While his father's presence does help, it would be... unseemly to force the Sunmaster to stay. That, and Anhima doesn't want to act any more like a kit...

Prompt: Cometflame,,they whine so much about such little things! They hate getting their fur wet or cold, even though they are the clan's deputy they are not the best sport in winter! Cometflame is so easy to upset in cold times. Even though she has it better than most clan in the do because they are kind of afraid to anger her.

"It's freezing. I'm not going anywhere." Icewing turned her head away pointedly, clearly having no intent to get up from her pine needle nest.

"Icewing, come on. Half the hunters are sick, and we're running low on prey." Lichenwish shuffled his paws slightly, the snow turning up a thin layer of frost. "We need all the help we can get."

But Icewing didn't even look at him, paws crossed over each other and tail wrapped neatly around herself. Lichenwish stood a few moments more, watching her hopefully, but she didn't move a muscle. With a sigh, he finally walked away; three hunters would have to be enough for today.

The weather of Tailless comet is cold, all year long. In fact Snow is a common occurrence in all seasons but summer, though the only time the snow mounds to incredible heights is the season of winter. In fact it doesn't stick well in other seasons, but from time to time the white powder is barely looked at. None the less, most of the cats in the clan, and area, are long furred and thick skinned. Used to the weather of the high windy mountains.

So the thing about the Timelost, is that sometimes it doesn’t snow at all, because they’ve walked through a timeslip into a time in which the territory is in a tropical or subtropical climate. The early Cretaceous was a dream, all warm and humid.

But sometimes, the Timelost slip into the Pleistocene, into the ice ages. In these timeslips, it is incredibly snowy and cold, and the glaciers keep the clan trapped in the narrow band between the ice and the unforgiving sea. When the clan slips into these time periods, they are all, unfortunately, very familiar with snow.
