Super excited to be able to be a part of staff litter this year! I picked the devil card for my adopt.

In a lot of descriptions of the devil card it says that while the representation is of something evil, the card itself is not necessarily evil in readings. When upright, it can symbolize ravage, violence, vehemence, extraordinary efforts, force, or fatality; that which is predestined but is not for this reason evil.

For this competition, using a playlist, tell me about their morality; do they believe in good and evil? What do they consider themselves? There is a maximum of 5 songs total and you can write or describe why the songs tie into their character with a limit of 700 words. You can have 1 extra but for judging the focus will be on the main prompt response! Feel free to pm me with any questions, and also, please remember that songs must be CS appropriate!

Bastian feels as though he is no longer in control of himself, of his emotions, he has been told for so long that he is a monster, doomed to bring devastation and destruction no matter where he goes, that he has decided... If they want a monster so very badly, he will give them one.

Despite the monster inside, he has realized his actions have pushed him to isolation, causing deep loneliness and a craving for affection, kindness, humanity, though his inner beast shows through every time and drives them away. How can he be sure those who claim to love him won't just turn their backs on him once he stops being important? How does he know they won't drive him away as well? Better to drive them off himself than go through that pain all over again.

Avenged Sevenfold - Shepherd Of Fire

He knows that other Kalons likely fear him, having heard his story and his reputation, knowing the lore and the tales surrounding him. He no longer hides or tries to run from the image others have painted of him, instead embracing it. He can help or he can deceive, it is all up to how they treat him first.

Evanescence - Sweet Sacrifice

He truly believes that those who have destroyed his image, his reputation, made him out to be such a villain, aren't so pure and pristine themselves, knowing that they simply placed their mistakes and blame on him to avoid the consequences, and after so many reputable Kalons had sworn that he was to blame, it was only a matter of time before he was shunned and cast out for things he didn't even do.

Starset - Bringing It Down

He recognizes that there is corruption in the old court he hails from, he knows there is something bigger at play and that he was only a small piece of a dark and disastrous puzzle, something much more sinister hiding behind all the marble and light and lace of his past life. Something is wrong, but no one will believe him.
