it was a dark and gloomy night. rain pitter-pattered on either side of marauder and his owner, jax, where they huddled under the bridge, the cold sinking in and shivers wracking their bodies. they had been on the street for almost two months now and every day got closer to the last.
the weather was dropping as winter approached, the storms heavier, forcing the two to take sanctuary under any shelter they could find for the night. jax's spirit was strong and yet, as time passed, it became more and more apparant to marauder that his owner was slowly giving up, both physically and mentally. emaciated, limping, breaking into tears and having episodes where his owner just couldn't move.. through it all, marauder stuck to his owner's side and watched over him. he would be there through thick and thin and they would get through this.
he refused to give up.
