Sima Adopt Number: 141
Name: Loulakai "Loula"
Gender: Female
Personality: Mischievous, contrarian, Halloween connoisseur, trash panda. If it is shiny, Loula likes it. Also she likes candy corn, which is apparently rare, I don't know, it doesn't exist where I live.
Has the energy of someone who deliberately researches arguments really thoroughly just to devil's advocate against people she completely agrees with, just to watch their reaction, but stopping if they actually seem distressed, and not doing this if it's about something that's likely to get them distressed. She's a mischievous troll, not a malicious troll.
Claustrophobia.
Likes very open spaces, really enjoys heights. Legitimately confused how come most other people seem to not like being in precarious high-up places.
more tbd
Other: Happy Guy Fawkes Night! Take care of your animal buddies and make sure they're happy
I will add more as other people post things ahah
Also, if this stops you bumping feel free to shoot my a DM and ask me to do a bump at some point(s) before the end.
Prompt:
On the 1st of November, Loula goes around every house in the neighbourhood that had spooky decorations, and politely asks them for the decorations they don't want to keep until next year. Normally she gets a solid hoard of items. The people who say no may get their garbage raided for Halloween decorations; that phrasing is the way Loula avoids technically confessing if anyone asks her about it.
She carefully curates what she acquires, to make sure she gets the best collection of Halloween decorations. Then, when anyone puts up decorations for a different holiday, she makes sure to show off her Halloween displays. Shops start doing Christmas displays in September? Too bad their neighbour has put up a graveyard of cheap plastic gravestones and Halloween ghosts next door.
For Christmas, she decorates on a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. For Easter, she decorates with dead flowers and does a candy hunt instead of an easter egg hunt.
Her house always has at least some Halloween decorations, and she is very proud of her witchy aesthetic.

Sima Adopt Number: 141
Name: Tanager Douglas
Gender: Male
Personality: Tanager is very energetic and loves doing things. He tends to start things and stop them just as quickly, leaving them unfinished until he feels like coming back to it. This is a mild source of frustration to him and his friends, but Tanager tends to brush it off by pointing to the few things he's spent long, continuous spans of time on. Although his knowledge is fairly shallow in a lot of fields, he has picked up enough knowledge about so many things that he can follow most conversations on almost anything to at least some degree. His major projects/hobbies include playing the guitar and crocheting, which he feels lets him use his hands in a productive way.
Other: Wish I could have gotten this up earlier but college and ochem especially have been kicking my butt.
Prompt: 703 wordsTanager rounded the corner of the street, scanning for the weathered sign that indicated the place he wanted to go to. He brightened when he spotted it, in the middle as always, and hurried to get inside. He was greeted by one of the employees and shown to his table, where Oroitz already sat.
"Hey," said Oroitz lightly, leaning back in his chair. "Festie went to the bathroom. Have you heard from Azu?"
Tanager shook his head before looking down, making sure that his tail wouldn't get squished by the chair. He'd done that enough times to remember to be careful. Even then, he sometimes forgot and was pinched unpleasantly as a result. "Nope," he said. "Knowing her, she'll be here soon. Probably got caught up in closing the shop or something."
Hephaestus came back just then and plopped into his seat. He leaned back casually and grinned at Tanager. "Hello there!" he said jovially. "Day go alright?"
Tanager nodded. "Yeah," he said with a small sigh. "Bit boring but honestly, when is it not?" That wasn't exactly true, he mused. He did love numbers and making sure that everything was in the right place, and he had a lot of leeway as to how to do his job. He wanted a bit of music? No problem! He needed to take a quick walk? Just as long as he didn't bother anyone else. But even then, doing the same thing day after day got a bit tedious sometimes. That's why he looked forward to the weekly meet-up.
Hephaestus snorted and patted Tanager's back sympathetically. "Agreed," he said.
Oroitz grinned smugly. "And that's why I chose a job where I got to travel."
"Ah, be quiet you," Hephaestus said with a wave of a paw. "Not all of us are master photographers like you." The three chuckled softly.
"Sorry sorry for being late!" said a flustered Algodón Azucarado, shrugging her jacket off and draping it over her seat. "Last customer took a bit to get rid of. Then I had to close up and then I nearly forgot a super important thing and then traffic was bad and-"
"I get it, I get it," Tanager cut in. "Don't worry; I was also a bit late. Traffic was pretty bad today. Think there might 'ave been an accident?"
Azu shrugged. "Didn't hear anything, but probably."
"Anyways, down to business," Tanager said, leaning forward and rubbing his paws together. He grinned, showing a hint of his fangs. "Watcha guys planning on doing for Halloween?"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Halloween came and went. The four had decided to first hand out candies at Oroitz's house, and they'd made sure to decorate the house adequately. They decided on a "dragon" theme that year, which had made Hephaestus laugh and Azu extremely excited to put a few of her dragonoid sculptures to good use. Tanager was dressed as a sea serpent, Hephaestus used his light magic to make it seem as though he were a true dragon and not a sima (Tanager was inordinately jealous of light simas just for this), Azu made some sort of "armor" for herself, and Oroitz went as an Eastern dragon.
The operation was a success, judging by the amount of children that grabbed candy from their house and by how many compliments they got on the yard or their costumes. But once it was easy to see the stars, they packed it up even though they had some extra candy left. (They would split the remainder amongst themselves and Tanager would make sure to grab some for his office.) Azu waved goodbye and left, intending to go to a party with some of her other friends. The three remaining also said their goodbyes and went straight home.
Tanager shucked off his costume as soon as he got home; it was uncomfortable on his fur (even though he'd been sure it fit and he liked the look) and he really needed to double-check what it was made of because he was pretty sure that he disliked certain materials more than others. Or maybe it was too tight. Or too loose. He could investigate later. It wasn't too important anyways. He collapsed into bed, smiling as he fell asleep.
