Obsidian was a quiet Kalon. They often kept to themselves and tried not to gain any attention from others. Her horn made this hard however, due to the harsh glow it emitted. Obsidian knew their horn was useful for lots, especially navigating dark areas, or when walking in the evening to and from her hideout in the woods. This is where Obsidian finds the most peace throughout the day. With the gentle flow of the streams and the crickets of the night, this is exactly where they felt they belonged. One with nature, under the stars.

Estella, nicknamed the beacon because of her wonderful glowing horn and for the very special ability she was born with. Estella can create stars, large bright twinkling stars to guide lost souls, or to help the seamen find their way back to port.
She dips her horn into the night sky, the glow swirling off of it onto the canvas of black, this is how she creates her stars, her horn gives her the power to do that.
Estella loves resting among the clouds, watching as the sun slowly sinks into orange and pink hues when it sets. She adores walking along the beach at night, watching the waves that reflect her shining stars, like fragments of light trapped beneath the water. And she loves gliding through the sky with the seabirds that come and go as they please, occasionally bringing a basket of food to settle down and share with them.

a little about this kalon: (20 words or more please) This girl absolutely loves the wilderness, despite her long fur and hair she finds herself in the middle the forest often. Perhaps it's the call of the birds, perhaps it's the smell of dirt after fresh rain. Maybe it's seeing her glow in the dark of night just like the stars peeking through the evergreens above. There's so much to love about the forest, it's so beautiful no matter the time of day, running through the trees with the breeze threading its way through your fur like swallows playing catch. The sunset on a summer night as you sit at the end of a cliff eating a small bunch of blackberries you found growing in the wild. The birds chattering around as though they understand all your thoughts perfectly. You can be alone without anyone in the world to bother you, to read a book on a blanket or to sip sweet tea under the boiling sun. Hiking up to the highest point just to feel that cool breeze and realize the town you live in looks like ants under your palm. Who wouldn't love it! That's how Astaria explains her love of the wilderness, no she was never a girl scout, nor did she learn how to read the stars to make her way back home if she gets lost. The forest will provide you with everything you need to know.

When in the forest you're likely to find many plants growing, maybe roses, maybe mint, maybe elderberry, blackberry, perhaps a wild apple tree standing alone, ripe for the picking in the late of September. Astaria likes to pick whatever plants she can find (that she knows is safe of course, she has a whole book on what to eat and what not to). She likes to go back to her house and dry the plants in the sun, pour some hot water over them, and voila a perfect tea! Not to mention all the delicious mushrooms. So many dishes to make! Gravy, fried mushrooms, mushroom dumplings, mushroom baos, mushrooms in pasta, cream of mushroom. Each basket she owns stays filled all through the year with these delicate fungi and feed her all through the year. Despite her looks, she's quite outdoorsy creature.
