What are Kuonlings?
These lion-dogs are related to Foo Dogs, which are east asian legendary creatures that guard homes. This special variation of foo dogs are literally drawn-to-life by children (which is what that scroll holds) and become their guardian. They may stay with the child until they grow up and pass away, or a child may forget their dog as they grow older, and that dog roams the earth in search of a new friend.

What do they like to do when the sun goes down?: they collect a rare type of berry called snow berry, they tend to hoard them till they get enough to feed small animals on snowy cold nights after the sun has rested

What do they like to do when the sun goes down?: he tends to stay up pretty late! to no fault of his own though, he loses track of time pretty easily and next thing he knows the sun is rising. he doesn't mind it though, watching the sun rise during a breezy, calm morning is his favorite thing to do.
