The sweet sound of birds serenading outside Carnival's window woke him up, today was a very important day. He leapt out of bed with a big grin, today was the day he graduated clown school! The fluffy, cheerful kalon waltzed over to his mirror with the confidence of a five year old in a batman cape and began to put on his signature clown makeup. He had been dreaming of this moment ever since he was little, his favourite place had always been the circus and now he'd get to perform right there with everyone else- he could hardly contain his excitement.

Naturally, he graduated, after all Carnival is one of the most charismatic Kalons around these parts! He'd never felt such glee in his life, he knows all too well how gloomy the world can be. That's why he wanted to be a clown so bad, everyone was always so sad, stressed and angry- if little old Carnival could make their day even a little bit better that would be enough for him to be making a difference in the world. To leave his mark on it.

Whilst clowning is what he is known for, Carnival loves to paint- he doesn't just paint for any old reason though. He's hellbent on making people happy, he paints things for his friends. Their favourite animals, their favourite singers- you name it Carnival can do it.

Sometimes he's a little bit too much, he's not very good at reading social cues or reading a room a lot of the time. If a friend wants some time alone he can't help but feel like maybe he did something wrong, he feels guilty that he wasn't able to cheer them up- he's never down for too long though and he works hard everyday to better understand others and their needs.

prompt; they love to kick back and watch a movie with cheese flavored popcorn, and rainbow selection of colored water(trust me it's delicious), jam out some music and dance to it when no ones watching. Other days they love to practice voice acting or just do dramatic reading - even if it's to themselves, because come one, you gotta keep your self sane and entertained somehow.
The way they read books or E-stories is just absolutely hilarious, othertimes they just watch videos with their partner of Gabriel Iglesias, which results into them bursting out laughing like a deranged goose that snorts, this is the sound they emit when their laugh is just absolutely hardcore, it sounds like a freaking rv horn;

Each day brings something new and perhaps completely unexpected, if you only listen; a fact that Magnus knows well.

Though the exact time changes day to day, he always takes a couple minutes in the afternoon to focus to the little things going on around him. From passing conversations, to little noises often overlooked, there's just something to be said about the gentle tap tap tap of a tree branch against the window. Something significant in its insignificance that he cannot help but be entranced by.

He's learned a great deal about reading people in the process, the little tells that precede the inevitable story of the day. Short snippets often compose his entire knowledge of them, whether they be frustrated at their coworker for eating their lunch, or excited about the date they had the next night. But there is almost always a look in their eye, a twitch to their fingers, or some other sign that gives them away before he hears a single word.

He wasn't always so good either; growing up in a rocky environment, he believed there was no way to tell when it was a bad day or a good day for those around him. On a dime it seemed the mood shifted, and their happiness gave way to frustration. Now he knows there's so much more to it than that, the seemingly insignificant movements or sounds that indicate a growing nervousness or joy or anger. Of course it's not the same person to person, but certain signs pair together more often than not, if his afternoon observations were anything to go off of.

Nevertheless, as much as this was the reason he actually began listening to the world around him, it wasn't what made him continue. From the tapping against the window, to the whistling of the wind outside his house, to the pitter patter of train drops against the ceiling, to the birds chirping outside, each individual with a different tone, each species a different song.... How could you not grow to love the diversity?

When on an afternoon stroll, he may hear one bird, he may hear a flock; perhaps chittering, or crowing, or flapping their wings in flight. Or maybe it will just be a paper bag, with a kids name scrawled across it, empty and rolling through the air, scrapping against the ground every once and a while. When inside his home, it may be the water bubbling on the stove, as he prepares to make dinner. Or even the alarm is going off, beep beep beep, reminding him of a call he needs to make or a meeting he needs to get dressed for.

There's always something to hear. And if only you listen, each day will bring something to you; whether it be new and unexpected, or a comfortingly familiar experience.

After a short or long day of work many like to spend their time outdoors enjoying the scenery, others play games or watch some TV, whilst others simply like to enjoy the company of their friends and loved ones.
Now yes, Jethro enjoys these things just like everyone else does, but how he truly likes to spend his lonely afternoons is creating music.
Whether that be acoustically or digitally, it's his afternoon pleasure.

Now his enjoyment of music creation goes a bit deeper than a just hobby.
Jethro's biggest reward from his works is solely the enjoyment and comfort his music brings to those who listen to it via his YouTube channel, "TheZebraHouse" (not an actual YouTube channel).
There he posts various covers and remixes of songs, with his most popular being lofi mixes and adaptions of popular songs into hour length compilations.

So almost every free afternoon he has he spends it creating music for others.
In this process it has been very therapeutic for him with all the stresses in his life, some of which are due to his EDS, a chronic illness that has also resulted in him having increased fatigue.
Even if he can't experience all that he'd like to in life, music has helped him feel the things he may never see due to his illness, but it also won't stop him from trying.

Yes, music is Jethro's pride and joy, that of which takes up his entire afternoon and on occasion his evenings too, but he doesn't care as long as he's happy and his viewers feel something through his music, that's all he cares about.

Barker sculled the rest of his monster energy and slammed the can down. Time to get to work!

A breeze ruffled his fur as it blew down the alley. A pigeon cooed somewhere. The kalon gazed at his canvas; a large, blank wall. The council had commissioned him to display a work of his own on the wall - the area was known for it's street art and this wall was painfully bland compared to it's surrounds.

Colours were his strong suit - he was excited to create a vibrant piece! It had taken a few sketches to come up with an idea. He only ever used pencil for his sketches, preferring to come up with colour schemes on the fly. It was more exciting that way, and often the results were unexpected. It was nice to make his pieces stand out against the ones nearby.

Psssht.

The can buzzed in his hand as he swiped it over the wall. Bright pink. Bright yellow. Royal blue. The colours layered on, patterns emerging. A passerby stopped to watch as he shaded a section of the piece. They looked impressed. Barker grinned to himself, he loved it when people appreciated his work.

Despite this technically being work for him - he was doing labour for money - it was incredibly relaxing. He was in his element. Getting payed to do something he loves? He couldn't ask for anything else.

He stood back to gaze upon his work so far. Needed more... pop. He stumbled up his step-ladder to reach a bit at the top. A couple of spritzes of bright blue, and it was looking better.

Barker hopped off the ladder and went to grab a bagel from his backpack. Break time! He scribbled a couple new ideas in his sketchbook as he ate. A paw grasping an exploding rainbow, a songbird scattering flower petals behind it, eyes with visions of nature within them... He swiped the crumbs off his sketches and closed the book.

This was the final stretch - couple of highlights and fix-ups and he'll be done. As he was working on the last section, a mother and child came up to watch. The kid was staring in awe, and pointing different parts out to his mother.

Barker's heart glowed. The best feeling was making kids happy with his art. They always loved the bright colours!

At last, it was done. Barker took off his painting mask. The image of a colourless tiger jumping through a flaming hoop, and coming out in an explosion of colours was glowing on the wall. A field of butterflies and flowers, with distant mountains, decorated the background behind the main piece.

He smiled, it looked great. From now on, this wall will bring happiness to the community!

Now, time for a nap. It was well earned.

Morado worked part-time, from 11 AM to Midnight and mostly on weekends, but he was there on weekdays, so he spent all of afternoon at work. It provided enough money, and a whole lot of fun, especially since he worked at the Carnival! He operated the bumper cars and the Tornado (about 50 swings that twirled around), helped making Ice Cream (his favorite job!!) and helped make popcorn before Noon, which is when the Carnival officially opened. At noon he'd be operating his rides, giving out popcorn, or selling ice cream.

When operating the Tornado, he'd make the ride about 30 seconds longer than standard procedures, as the lines were never too long, so people didn't have to wait too long anyways. If he's serving ice cream, he makes it colorful and fun! Some kids are scared of him, due to his underbite and how tall he is, but Morado is just a big softie who loves kids, and Ice Cream! On days where there is a short line, he offers to make ice creams based on the fur of the Kalon ordering ice cream! For example, he uses Blueberry-Vanilla Swirl (Purple with White Streaks) and Rainbow frosting with Sprinkles and Fudge for his! He's an artist at heart, but loves his job quite a bit! (He lives in a tropical area, the Carnival is open year round ^^)

His afternoons smelled like buttery popcorn (Ice Cream sadly doesn't have a scent) and sounded like Carnival music and children's laughter. They looked like colorful stalls, and mothers with children that were smiling. They felt magical in a sense. And the air tasted like happiness and excitement. He was often told to get a better job, that would pay more, give him experience. But Morado loves his magic afternoons, filled with laughter, friends and cool and sweet ice cream.
