"Look," The tortoiseshell argued, "you have to eat your vegetables."

"Willow, you aren't going to convince me to eat grass."

Willow groaned. "It's not grass, Kaonasi! They're vegetables! Look, does this look like grass?" She pulled out the leafy vegetable tucked in her collar, dramatically tossing it at the apprentice's paws. The black cat sniffed it and made a face.

"Looks like leaves."

Willow nodded enthusiastically.

"Smells gross."

Willow groaned again, rolling her eyes. "Listen, since you aren't eating the Twoleg kibble anymore, you aren't getting all your nutrients! You'll get sick if you don't eat your vegetables - just ask Rye!"

The brown tabby, who was walking out of the camp, flinched when he heard his name. "Don't drag me into this, Willow..." He whimpered.

"This'll just take a second." Willow replied shortly. "My Twoleg saw bunches of cats who could barely move because they never ate their vegetables. You love Twoleg food - certainly you know how important vegetables are?"

Rye sniffed the lettuce suspiciously. "Well... no, but that looks a lot like the stuff they gave the rabbits?"

"Bleh! I'm not gonna eat rabbit food, Willow!" Kaonasi cried, scrunching her face up. "That's gross!"

Willow sighed, flicking her tail tip irritably. Looks like she wasn't convincing anyone of anything today.

yes! in fact, that's the main thing she eats! windsong was formerly a kittypet, and was found by the tribe after her twolegs had abandoned her and their house. when discovered, it was revealed that her twoleg had only ever fed her leaves, herbs and rice, as part of a vegetarian diet. to accommodate to her diet and not cause any trouble, windsong usually goes out to gather her own meals, which now consist of sweet herbs, vegetables still growing in twoleg farms, and the berries she can pick off of bushes. because of her limited diet, she is one of the skinniest cats in the tribe, and doesn't hold much stamina, but she doesn't let it stop her. while wind doesn't judge her tribemates for what they eat, she prefers to not kill any animal, which explains why she's a cave-guard despite her more agile and nimble stature.
