Maltese Retrieving Hounds are a cross between the Pharaoh hound and the Labrador Retriever. Originally bred to hunt in packs, they are mostly used in shows and sport hunts nowadays.

Last on the new genes for a bit! This one is called grit, and it turns the lightened areas on a merle dog into a sort of pseudo roan. It is only visible on visibly merle dogs. To win them, show me a cool picture of a dirt or gravel road! ends the 16th
