This cat was gotten and brought home but after a sudden unexpected health scare, they realized if the same situation happened again that they wouldn't be able to pay for the expenses. The previous owners decided to ask us for help in finding this cutie a new home.

Prompt - The silky cat let out a chirp as he lifted his head. He was tired and wanted food. He had fallen asleep just next to his food bowl, but when it was refilled it was moved out of reach. Wow! He thought to himself, I forgot to wake my humans! He spotted a nearby puppy, Tadpole, and with him an opportunity to stay laying down.
"Hey, Tad," he trilled in a sing-song voice.
"Oh, hey Mink!" the puppy said energetically.
"Do you think you could move that bowl towards me?" Mink asked. Usually, he wasn't this lazy, but today, he was tired.
Tadpole picked up the bowl and set it down next to Mink, but Mink no longer wanted it. It wasn't that Tad had taken too long, it is that his drool was all over the food.
Mink let out a sigh and said thank you and motioned for Tad to leave. The dog left leaving Mink with a bowl of dog drool and cat food. He picked through it and found the few uncontaminated pieces, and with rejuvenated energy, went off to find the human he loved so much. [171 Words]
Bonus Prompt - Mink settled in quickly when he got to his new home, he had his bed and his food bowl, which until a few days later, was all he needed. It was three days after he found himself in his new home that he became homesick. He meowed, for the first time in months, for almost an hour straight. His owner pet him, but he just wanted his old owner. It took him two more days to adjust to his new owner, and even once he had, he still missed his old owner.
A Vocal Kitty - Mink is very vocal, but, like most Chantilly-Tiffanies, he rarely meows. Most of his noises are chirps and trills, but it can still be just as annoying. Mink is stubborn about his feeding time and will mercilessly awake his humans at 6 am, no matter what. His chirps and trills can be pleasant and often Tadpole is happy to listen.

Giovanni pinned his ears and flicked his tail. He had been dozing in Honeys turnout for most of the morning waiting for him to return from work, it was taking longer that usual and Giovanni has begun to feel slightly miffed about the delay.
Finally he hears the stallions soft blowing and deep hoof falls. The cat let's out a yawn as the stable hand returns Honey to the paddock. The horse stares at the cat, ears pricked. Giovanni does a long slow stretch as he rolls onto his back inviting his friend to join him for the daily nap in the sun. He adds a gentle mew of encouragement to hustle up

Prompt - Raven had been resting in an abandoned home. It was missing some roofing and parts of the wall had been chipped away, but it was also clearly a really old home. Much older than the cat was. Raven woke to a small sound of dripping water. He hadn't had water in a day or two but also didn't feel like getting up. He tried stretching his paw out as it didn't seem too far, but it was just out of reach. Meaning he couldn't dip his paw in and lick it off his paw. Darn. He laid stretched out for a bit longer before giving in. He used his claws to drag him closer to the water. He dipped his paw in to taste the water and immediately regretted not continuing his nap. Now, he stood up, and proceeded to walk as far from the water as possible to continue his nap, only to have more water drip onto him. Great.

Bonus Prompt - Raven doesn't mind the house too much. Sure sometimes there are leaks, such as in the story, but it does protect him really well from the weather. The prey around the area isn't bad at all, so food isn't an issue either. Luckily he hasn't run into any rogues and hopes not to ever.

How He Got Here - Raven hadn't always been a stray or loner. He had a family once, a nice family actually. They had another cat, a fluffy brown and white one. He doesn't know where she ended up after the incident, but he knew that she wasn't dead. He saw her running away, clearly somewhere where she knew she could go. He hoped she was okay. One day he'd find her. But when their house had flooded, both of the cats took off in different directions, and so did their owners. Their owners went to the front of the house, talking to nothing it looked like. But not soon after, other people had arrived to help in big red cars. Raven watched from a distance for a few days, seeing if it was safe to return. So did Mouse, his housemate. He would see her sometimes standing in a certain bush she always went to to observe. But as he watched over a couple of days, their owners were moving stuff out of the house into large cars, and soon, he never saw them again. He never saw Mouse again either. Sometimes he'd wander into the neighborhood and recognize her scent, but never came face to face with her. After about a month of looking for her, he gave up and made his home in an abandoned house in the forest that he'd been eyeing since the flood.
