Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

prompt: eros' valentine is aphrodite! they have met a few years ago during a horse riding event and the stallion was so absolutely smitten by the mare that he could barely focus on anything else but her and made a fool out of himself several times. their handlers thought it was pretty funny, so they rode alongside each other and let the two horses get to know each other. while eros was just stunned by the mare's beauty and charisma, aphrodite was just... amused. but she had to admit to herself that she thought he was pretty cute. their handlers met each other more often since then - of course to go on a ride with aphrodite and eros - and the two horses fell hard for one another, constantly sharing "kisses" by touching each other's nose. whenever eros wasn't around her he missed her, until one day aphrodite's handler bought eros and got him transferred to their stables. the stallion, once reunited with his love, now barely ever leaves her side.

xxxx icarus's valentine is apollo. the two met on apollo's first day at MVE, when they were turned out as pasture mates. eve thought he would be a good choice to help the young stallion get used to life in the new environment; his quiet and reserved nature gave apollo a chance to get accustomed before jumping right into things. icarus was alone in the pasture on that fateful day. he'd had a tiring afternoon of training and was relaxing a bit before he'd get brought back inside for dinner. the sun was beginning to set: the bright light that had illuminated the sky for so long only to soon fade into a blissful night sky. night was icarus's favorite time though; he happened to be quite the night owl. it was peaceful, being awake when nobody else was. the endless chatter of the barn growing silent and allowing him time to mull over his thoughts. the isolating yet serene darkness casting a curtain of privacy around him. the occasional cricket chirp to ground him when need be. it was nice sometimes to just be alone with your thoughts—nobody to bother you, nothing to interrupt. which is why icarus was startled to hear the squeaky gate being opened. he stood up abruptly from where he'd been lying in the soft grass, contemplating. gazing over in the direction of the commotion, icarus was speechless. he locked eyes with the most gorgeous horse he'd ever seen. the stallion was a stunning shade of chestnut with large spots dotting his body. his eyes, a deep mahogany, shimmered in the light of the setting sun. even his halter, a dazzling, almost sunset-like design, complemented what icarus saw as the perfect image.

xxxx apollo wasn't exactly happy to be separated from his sister. artemis was only a filly and he felt obligated to protect her in place of their parents. it wasn't like he disliked the place—it was rather nice after all. he just wasn't quite comfortable being around all the new sights and sounds yet. as he was led across the property toward what he recognized as the pastures, he looked up at the sky. it was a brilliant mixture of bright yellow, fiery orange, and a rosy reddish-pink. it cast a gentle glow upon everything beneath it. he had to admit, his new home looked beautiful right now. this was probably apollo's favorite time. it felt like you'd stumbled into a whole new world. everything seemed softer, almost like a whisper in your ear or the touch of a feather. he was broken away from his thoughts as the stablehand halted him at a gate. he glanced around, trying to get his bearings, and caught sight of a horse in the distance. his coat was a striking white, patches of color on his face. apollo could easily get lost in his bright blue eyes, never to return to the real world. he couldn't take his eyes off of the young stallion, and it seemed the feeling was mutual.

xxxx icarus watched as the new horse cautiously made his way over. he was still dazzled by the sight of this stallion. he'd never felt this way about anyone before. it was almost as if the stars had aligned to let these two meet. it was fate. despite typically being a solitary horse, icarus already felt comfortable around him. he hadn't even asked appaloosa's name yet but he felt as though he could trust him with any and all of his secrets. the other horse was a mere few feet away. he slowly reached out his nose to icarus, making sure not to cross any boundaries the palomino may have. icarus paused for a moment to get one final look at him before reciprocating. apollo. his name was apollo. how fitting. the horse akin to the ever-so-slowly fading sunlight was named after the greek god of the sun. icarus introduced himself. he was fascinated by the way the sun's reflection danced in apollo's deep brown eyes and how the rays of sunlight highlighted his radiant coat. he could tell they were going to get along well. it was like apollo was the sunset to his night sky.

xxxx the two curious stallions would soon grow very comfortable with each other. it didn't take long for them to become inseparable. artie would often be seen with them, since apollo didn't want to leave her alone at her age, although occasionally she'd be off playing with her filly friends. apollo and icarus acted as the parents she'd never truly gotten a chance to have. they quickly found out that what they felt toward each other went deeper than simply looks, and that it was indeed mutual. after waiting what felt like forever, apollo finally gathered up the courage to ask icarus to be his valentine. of course, icarus instantly said yes. they've since come to be known around the barn as a thing. it was basically unavoidable when you'd always find them just gazing at the other with that look in their eyes and resting their heads on the other's back, just talking quietly about their day or whatever was on their mind. when telling the little foals about love, the mares use the pair as an example. "find yourself an apollo to your icarus," they'd say, "and you needn't fret."

some years ago.. ricky was first delivered to the ranch in a trailer, he was given a few days of quarantine, but after that was supervised in turnout with milky, where he first crushed on her. this crush, which then blossomed into a full-fledge desire, started out small, an oh she’s cute. they started off as friends, two yearlings having fun and playing.
all this was watched by autumn, when she was in her own stall, getting a good view of her daughter and the new kid.
