Mavis was very young when she was bought first, this meant she spent a lot of time in the vets due to ill health and lack of care for her by her mother, her first family bought her unsuspecting of her ill-upbringing as she was to be a first dog. Late nights of worry forced their hand to give Mavis up, though it wasn't an easy decision on their behalf but it was the best for the small pup in their care. Mavis was soon handed over to High Bridge kennels, and almost instantly upon arrival, had to be rushed back to her vets. Days went by as she spent her time closed in the quarantine kennel so when she was at her home, she spent all of her time in the arms of the Owner of High Bridge or on a fluffy blanket in front of the lit fireplace as rain sounded against the windows; it was a very cold night which is the most usual for UK but Mavis seemed to shiver in spite of the heat. Mavis was awoken to the warm hands of her owner as she was brought into an embrace; with the blanket over top the two fell asleep, this was the first time Mavis had felt the love every dog deserves so she always aimed to sleep right next to the fireplace, on that same fluffy blanket.

Mavis overcame her illnesses at about 2 years of age, and from then she had never to be worried again as she was an integral part of High Bridge and the start of the title program system for High Bridge, even in her old age she could never forget her favourite spot. (286 words)

Prompt: When she was a young pup, Shmi would often visit the garden! She loved to go there and lay among the flowers on the soft dirt, something about the smell of fresh dirt and flowers made her happy. Whenever any of the other collies tried to lay in the garden, dig in it, or eat the flowers- she'd stand up to them. To her, the garden was hers and hers alone. She didn't want to share it's beauty and peacefulness with any other collie, and she didn't want anyone to destroy it or take it from her. However, Shmi ended up having to leave her home that had the garden. It was a small price to pay in order for her family to be happy.

It wasn't until her face was grey when her family decided to move back to their old home. They had wanted to go back to their old town for quite some time, and it turned out that their old home was up for sale. When the family walked into the house, Shmi had suspected nothing. That was... until they opened the back door to let her roam the yard. The senior dog gingerly stepped onto the back porch, her soft hues looking around as she took the sights. Shmi thought nothing of the yard until she caught a whiff of something sweet... something familiar. The old dog's eyes sparkled with joy when she saw where the smell had came from, a garden! Her garden! As if she was a puppy again, Shmi bounced towards the garden, a large smile plastered on her greyed face as she whined happily. Her tail wagged a mile a minute as she plopped onto the dirt surrounding the flowers, she was home!

(Before they moved in, the family revisited the house and made sure to set fresh dirt down around the new flowers they had planted! They did it all for their special dog, Shmi!)
