Cat Name: Starseer
Gender: Male
Rank: Warrior (Camp Watchman)
Clan: (Thistleclan)
Age: 43m
Prompt:
Starseer is the camp watchman. He spends all night watching the camp entrance and the area outside to keep everyone safe. At any sign of possible dangers or threats, he gathers a patrol of warriors to either investigate or to eliminate the threat. He doesn't interact with many cats because he's sleep during most of the day. Because of this, the clan cats showed their gratitude by created the best nest the possibly could for him.
His den is in a nook on the outer camp wall. There is enough space for him for him to curly up in there, and the space is well insulated so that he doesn't have to worry in the winter. The small den is lined with the feathers of many birds, most of them are fluffy. Hanging from the ceiling are strands of wildflowers, which are hung there to keep the den smelling fresh and sweet. His nest is lined with moss, tufts of fur from prey and some flowers as well. The warriors even found a way to lead a small stream towards the den, giving him some fresh running water whenever he wants. Starseer is very grateful for this, and love his job. Afterall, he get's to live up to his name every night.

Cat Name: Mikhail >> tbd!
Gender: Male
Rank: Patroller
Clan: Falls of Eden
Age: Seventeen moons
Prompt:
It was dark. Until it wasn’t.
Like the boom of thunder through the night, it came. Flames. Orange and bronze tendrils crackling, weaving a twisted tango of ash and flame. Smoke, thick as fog, was choking. Suffocating. A whimper died in his throat as he struggled from under the barbed bush. He was stuck---
A cool nose brushed his flank.
The kit startled, shoulders tensing. He blinked.
Oh, her. The one that helped him. Enya.
“Would you like to go in?” Her pale ears flicked, as she nodded towards her den. “It’s safe.”
He snuck a glance over. Soft… filled with fluffy feathers. Small, cozy… but dark. Too dark. Darkness brought fire and--- he shook his head furiously, paws tripping over themselves as he backed. No, no---
“Is he okay?”
Another voice. Male. Tall. Towering.
“Thistlelight.” She seemed relieved. “...we found him after the King's guards massacred the village." Her voice rose, subtle anger seeping in. "There was a fire.” She shook her head. “The kit hasn’t spoken a word since. It’s late --- he needs some rest…”
Tentatively, he eyed the newcomer. Thistlelight. The tom’s head was tilted curiously, nodding along to Enya’s words, amber eyes soft. Thoughtful.
“I have something in-mind. Here…” Thistlelight shifted close, dropping to eye-level. “Hey, little one.”
His chest seized.
"You're a brave one… I know it. Perceptive." A small, gentle smile. “I think I know somewhere you’d like. Follow me?”
Could he trust him? The last tom he met… had left with Mum. Never returning. But these cats helped. They were different… right? He swallowed, pawing at the ground, before giving a nod.
“Come, then.”
☆☆☆
His eyelids drooped as he trailed behind the tom through tall grass.
“...here. What do you think?”
The field was aglow.
Small, white flowers flecked the fields. Glowing. Their petals unfurled like crowns, radiating a glorious light as they tilted towards the moon, gently swaying in the breeze. Fireflies hummed a melody --- a lullaby --- as they flickered through the grass, twinkling like stars strung through the skies. Moonlight descended, lighting a path to a spacious den, lined with soft rabbit fur. The sweet scent of pine lingered, tickling his nose.
He touched a paw to the glowing flowers.
“Pretty isn’t it?” Thistlelight murmured. “Moonflowers, we call them. They glow at night to guide us.” The tom stepped in the direction of the den, head tilted. “Coming?”
He swallowed, paws frozen.
“I’ll come with you... protect you from those night-terrors.” Amber eyes shone, both gentle and fierce, holding a quiet promise. A voice radiating strength and understanding… like someone who’d been through the fire and back. “I promise.”
The silence held.
His gaze flicked towards the den --- a place of promises. Safety, warmth, light. A promise of a new day. The choice was his. He closed his eyes, soaking in the buzz of fireflies and the glow strewn around. A shaky breath out. He locked eyes with the haven ahead.
And took a small step forward.
// #500 words (☆☆☆ for the aesthetic), with a bby scared of the dark & glow-in-the-dark flowers (moonflowers). <33

cat name: astraea (trae)
gender: female
rank: tbd
clan: the shore of dreams
Age: tbd
prompt:
it was a dream from once upon a time.
with fairies dancing, elves pouring over stories stacked upon libraries. it was all she ever knew. fireflies and bluebells draped from the woody dales, adorning the palace of faerie with a beauty, too enchanting to fathom.
but, this magical haven was never meant for her.
as a child, she had always been so different. ’you, astraea, are an angel’s child.’ the pixies would sing those words, a harmony that made her heart warm. but, it was far from the truth.
“darling, astraea.”
her breath caught.
the enchanting voice was a song, with the most beautiful of timbres. it was the siren. the last water nymph. her closest friend.
“muriel, you scared me!” a light laugh danced across her tongue. a smile softened her lips as the tickle of ivory flakes captivated her in it’s embrace. “are you feeling alright?”
“ah, just the usual fade, dear.” a wisp of a beam twinkled upon the muriel’s cheeks. but, the lovely siren was dwindling, after a thousand long years. it wouldn’t be long - no, she shouldn’t think about that.
“come, child. a test awaits you.”
she could hear the song of the water. a lullaby.
muriel was singing a melody she wished would never end.
“astraea, do you trust me?”
“of course, muriel.”
the cerulean ripples of the lagoon sparkled.. glistening with the hues of a shivering forest. revealing pictures she’d never seen. a painting she’d never touched.
“oh, trae.” the falling of tears, an orchestra of sorrow. one sung by a young maiden. a voice she hadn’t heard in what seemed like a lifetime ago. “come back to me, please.”
then, there, she saw herself. crumpled and broken.
it couldn’t be.
a part of her wanted to run, curl her arms around the weeping damsel and tell her it was alright. that she was here...
all she saw were vibrant flames, spiralling out of control as paws clutched her head. glowing. muriel. could this still be the nymph she had thought was her friend?
no. because, friends wouldn’t steal memories.
“elves… cage her.”
the tears came like fire.
she was trapped. locked behind bars of steel. “is anyone here? please, i need help!”
it was hopeless.
“i’ll help.” lowering her eyes, the shine of a bell greeted her. a gnome. the miners were said to be nasty, vile creatures. “i-” but, she had no choice but to trust him.
keys glistened in the light. one click, then two.
she was free.
she couldn’t believe it.
“the real world awaits you, young’un.”
he was gone.
home had fluttered back.
harmonies and sonatas sung underneath the splendor of a blushing tree was unimaginable, she could see the charms of spring slowly peeking through the bliss of winter. she could see the feathers of jays and cerulean warblers. delicately beaded with the hues of lapis and sapphires, songbirds that would dance for an eternity to come.
a promise for the safety she had never known.
