The Aussie came to us after an irresponsible backyard breeder bred two merles together, resulting in double merles. They couldn't care for the puppies so they were dumped at the shelter. The cat came to us off the streets after severe trauma to the left side of their head, and they appear to be deaf in that ear!

Ramune's best friend is a small sparrow that visits her house every other morning. She always knows the exact time the sparrow will come to the window to peck at the seeds that Ramune's owner leaves out, roughly after her breakfast. The sparrow always bounces around in front of the window, playing its own special game with the cat on the other side of the glass. Ramune would never scare or chase the small bird away. She loves laying by the window and watching as the sparrow eats. The two are very unlikely, but very good friends, in their own special way!
