Prompt:
"Leave a light on for me" - Lay it all on me - Carole and Tuesday
Together they keep a lantern on. Always making sure that it's not gone out. Despite their numerous protests, both of them are very afraid of the dark. The girls couldn't tell you why exactly they fear the ark, it's just something that's always been with them. Conquering the fear just isn't something that's going to happen, Elle & Kay have honestly tried conquering their fear but the last time they tried? Elle ended up a crying mess and Kay was almost as bad.
So the lantern stays lit to chase away the dark and whatever it is they fear about it
Unless I post somewhere, I'm not selling/trading closed species critters.

Name/s: Austere and Nox
Gender: Austere is female (she/her); Nox is agender (they/them)
Prompt:
Austere and Nox share the same fear; it's what bonded them together in the first place. However, Austere is very aware that nyctophobia is actually just a symptom of a greater fear - the fear of the unknown. After all, you never know what could be sneaking up on you in the darkness...
Austere tries to learn as much as she can about her fears, as a way of becoming more logical about them. This one, however, is difficult to conquer. As such, both friends use many coping mechanisms to combat it! Denying the fear aloud actually helps both of them to feel less afraid. In addition, being together helps them greatly - there's nothing more scary than being alone in the dark! Austere has also found that wrapping blankets around both of them has been comforting, as well as having some warm milk at sunset. Then, the two friends practise deep breathing exercises together to calm their nerves. Sometimes Austere will even sing a lullaby - if there are no other lambies around, that is. Performance anxiety isn't something she's prepared to deal with on top of nyctophobia!
Of course, having multiple light sources on them at all times is incredibly helpful... but it's always good to have a backup plan in case those lights go out somehow.
