The rainbow headed Hellund sniffed again a moment before nuzzling the side of her head into the young woman's palm. Jon grinned.
"See? Told you." he said, obviously delighted by his hellund's behavior.
Not a moment later, his hissed out a breath just as another hellund, this one having bright green markings and an almost bloody looking muzzle, leaped onto Claire's back as she bent over towards Finni.
"Ob-ses-sion!" Jon said, frowning and looking obviously concerned, though his tone of voice was not really very harsh, "That is not appropriate behavior. Please get down, now."
The frisky hellund had, as Jon was speaking, already leaped back down. He yipped in what looked like a laugh, and then fled off among the other hellunds, disappearing into the dusk. Jon sighed.
"I'm sor..." he began, but was cut off as the din of all the hellunds around them rose into the air. To his surprise, his own pack lifted up their muzzles and joined in as well.
It was only then that Jon noticed their gold and purple friend at the doors and watched them swing open dramatically. He caught his breath as he watched, wide-eyed.
"Um..." he began, completely forgetting what had happened before, and now looking a bit intimidated, "I... I guess we go in... now..?"
He was half asking Claire, and half asking their hellund guide.

Edit: Aaah, forgot the dice rolls! D: 11 & 72 respectively ^^

Claire continued to stroke Finni as the brightly-coloured hellund nuzzled her. When Obsession jumped on top of her, she couldn't help but laugh. She waved off Jon's half-apology, though her face grew suddenly serious as the hellunds started to howl. Claire watched wide-eyed with curiosity as the doors to the house opened. "Man, that's spooky," she murmured, more to herself than anyone else. "Gonna have to ask them how they did that later." Catching a glimpse of the inside, her curiosity only grew even further. "Wow," she breathed, taking in what she could see in the darkness. "This place is SO much cleaner than my dad's house." Her incessant need to know more got the better of her; she stepped inside without warning. "Check out all these plants! I wonder if they're all different species... OOH! What are these cages for!? Whoa, check out the detail on the furniture! AND OH MY GOSH THE FLOOR IS SPARKLY." Claire flitted about the parlor, babbling excitedly to anyone who could hear.

((Do so in the MYO event please. :) No rush, I just thought I'd remind you guys.))

A deep, bell like chuckle sounded from a purple curtained door at the end of the parlor across from the front door, which swung slowly closed behind the two people and their hellund companions. "Why, yes, they are all different species of plants. I use many of them for my magic. The cages are for temporary guests who often join me in casting spells. Hmhm And yes, the floor is made of blue goldstone tiles. I am glad that you like my parlor." A tall, thin woman with jet black hair that flowed nearly to the floor, pale olive skin and piercing golden eyes emerges gracefully from behind the curtain as she speaks to you. Her dress is very tight and form fitting black velvet with long black lace sleeves and a train of lace and velvet concealing her feet completely and flowing behind her like a tail. Adorning her neck is an odd pendant that you can only assume is bone held there by a hair-thin silver chain. A large silver ring sits on her left thumb and seems to stare at you with its sapphire gem eyes. "Welcome to my home. I am Lady Rose Lunalia, it is a pleasure to meet you both. If I am correct, you would be Jon, and you would be Claire. Is that correct? I am pleased you received my invitations and decided to join us. Decadence seems to like you quite well I noticed. Please come with me, we have much revelry to begin and plenty of things to discuss." Rose gestured to follow her in a way that could have been mistaken as a dance move from an elegant ballet or waltz and turned like a floating apparition, leading the way through the curtain she had emerged from.

"Heheh..." Jon said, still looking a little overwhelmed as he followed Claire into the building, "Yeah... a bit spooky."
However, his smile returned as Claire began discovering the different cool things within the building. It was especially amusing because Finni began following her about, sniffing at each of the things which Claire looked at. She seemed just as excited by all the shiny new things in the room.
Suddenly the voice from across the room began and the doors slowly swung shut. Jon whipped around to make sure all his companions had made it inside. Fear shot through him as he realized he, yet again, didn't see Obsession around. However, just as the doors were going to close entirely, the scape-grace darted in at exactly the last second. Jon let out the breath he hadn't realized he was holding before turning back around.
"Uh, h-hi!" he said, getting a little tongue tied as he saw the speaker herself, "Yeah, um... th-that's me, I-i'm Jon."
He was decidedly unprepared for her presence, decidedly aware now of his own attire, even though it was his best. He glanced at Claire to see how she would take her appearance before following after her.
"Um... Discuss..?" he asked, looking slightly concerned.

Claire couldn't help but admire the woman - Lady Rose Lunalia, she'd said her name was. For once in her life, the bubbly young adult was almost speechless. Almost. "Wow," she breathed, at the beauty of both the manor and its host. "I have my own herb garden for magic too! Just not as vast as this one..." Claire was pretty sure she could see a number of herbs she recognised amidst the greens. She also mentally remarked that blue goldstone was an interesting choice for flooring, especially given it's healing qualities. As she followed Lady Lunalia, she kept her eyes open, keen to see more of the mysterious home.

As she floated ahead of them into what could only be assumed to be a huge lounge area, she turned over her shoulder to speak with them and answer.
"Why, yes, discuss. I assumed you read the full invitation. You were invited to join the party, but if you are willing, I'd be more than happy to reward you for your help in matters that have been causing some issues for us on the grounds. You are not required to help in order to enjoy the food and festivities, but it would be very appreciated."
Around the edges of the room there are a series of balconies with wooden railings equally as ornately carved as the furniture that was placed about the parlor, but in a lovely light red color. Each balcony, as well as the large bay windows along the back of the room are adorned with dark red silk curtains with gold pulls. The floors were a rich gold colored stone and the large couches and chairs placed meticulously around are the same dark red as the curtains. A plethora of other plants, these ones much larger and stranger cascade down from the balconies and adorn each of the separate seating areas.
"So you too are a practitioner of magic? That is wonderful! Mayhaps we can trade notes. Skills in magic would also be very useful in helping solve my issues, if you are so inclined. I do have a great many plants that can be used for a great many things. Medicine, magic, cooking, and everything in between.
She continues floating through the room and makes a right to pass through a set of deep red curtains into a banquet hall set up in what would be easy to imagine doubles as a ballroom. Equally clean and decadent as the other two rooms, this one seems to be entirely black and silver, with a single large balcony along the edges of the room with two tight spiral staircases leading up to each side of the balcony. Two large ebony tables inlaid with silver designs are set up at either end of the room, leaving the dance floor open, and covered in an impressive array of beautifully made foods. A moderately sized band is set up directly under the center of the above balcony and begins playing a delicate and welcoming waltz as the three enter the room.

"Yeah, I've been doing research on magic ever since I was little," Claire replied excitedly. "I didn't start really practising on my own until I was around 14, though. My dad is... well... interested in it, to say the least. He encouraged me to start looking into it." The young woman shifted uncomfortably. 'Interested' was definitely not the word that most accurately described her father's inclination towards magic... it was more of an obsession. She didn't necessarily want to say too much, however; the subject of her father was not something she wanted to dive deep into. Rather than elaborate, she set her sights on her surroundings, admiring the beauty of it all. Her mouth watered when she noticed the array of lavish foods on the gorgeous tables.

"Ahahah..." Jon said, scratching the back of his head, "Right! I remember, the invitation. Yeah, I'm definitely up for helping out."
He suddenly felt Passion gently nuzzle the side of his head and he rubbed hers absentmindedly.
Meanwhile, Affinity continued trotting at Claire's side, seeming to listen as she spoke to their hostess. Jon did too and was interested in the discussion.
"I've never really tried any magic myself," he said, trying to comment without overhauling the conversation, "Other than summoning my friends here, of course. It must be fascinating!"
He didn't think communicating with and helping spirits finish their tasks before moving on really counted as magic, so he didn't mention it.
He did also notice their grand surroundings and especially the food.
Is this all for us...? He wondered, hoping he would get a chance to try some between whatever the tasks this lady had planned for them.

((Ooc: I hope its ok that I added the spirit stuff, if not then let me know and I'll delete it, but it seems like something Jon would do and its kind of something I'm considering turning into an rp sometime... or just a story, i donno x3))

((Yes of course! You have a decent Spirit, so that's definitely in your realm of abilities. :) ))

Rose floated to the center of the room and gracefully turned towards her two guests with a large grin.
Wonderful! You are welcome to eat to your hearts' content! There will be plenty of time for talking about tasks afterwards. Just let my servants know what you would like, find a seat and they will bring it to you.
With a snap of her elegant, long fingers, a crisply dressed regiment of attractive servants emerged from seemingly nowhere and stood by different sections of the food tables, ready to serve up whatever food was requested. With one full meal table and a full dessert table, there were a great many foods to choose from. Each immaculately and perfectly cut by each servant as you point to which you would like to try.

Claire seated herself, allowing one of the servants to pull a chair out for her. Memories from her childhood at her father's estate pushed to the surface of her consciousness; the attentive servants reminding her of the staff who raised her after the death of her mother. The aroma of the delicious foods in front of her brought her back to the present. "Um... I'll have..." Her stomach growled loudly, interrupting her indecisive words. "Hmm, better make that one of everything." Her eyes widened and her mouth watered. Though she was a bit petite in the waist, Claire didn't doubt that she could finish what she'd asked for. Her appetite was always a force to be reckoned with.

((Yay! Thanks! ^^))

Jon gave a rueful smile as Claire gave her request. He wished he were still in his early 20's. However, he wasn't so old that he couldn't enjoy something nice himself. He glanced around again at all the mouth-watering foods and a feeling of gratitude welled up within him. He looked at Rose again, genuinely thankful, though not entirely sure how to properly communicate how very appreciative he was.
"Thanks... again." he said, awkwardly, but hoped she understood.
"Um..." he said, turning his attention back to the food, "Could I please have some of those ribs and roasted potatoes? Oh and a roll with some butter and honey, maybe..?"
He was watching the servants eagerly as they assembled his plate when he realized he was still standing.
"Ah, yeah." he said with a laugh and seated himself opposite of Claire, thinking it would be awkward to try talking if he sat next to her.
Suddenly, Jon felt a light pressure on the side of his leg and looked down to see Affinity looking imploringly up at him.
"Oh! I'm sorry guys." he said, opening his pack and getting out his friends' favorite treats. Obsession suddenly darted out from under one of the tables, his muzzle suspiciously crumbly looking. Jon looked at him through narrowed eyes for a moment before sighing and placing a small box of raspberries before him. Obsession wiggled in place for a moment before carefully picking up a raspberry and vanishing. He did this several more times until they were all gone. Meanwhile, Passion and Elegance carefully ate their own treats and Affinity delighted in hers.
"I honestly don't know if he actually eats the raspberries or if he just hoards them in his special place..." Jon said in slight exasperation.
"So," he asked, tilting his head curiously in Claire's direction, "you seem used to this kind of thing, do you go to restaurants pretty often then? Oh! And I wanted to ask, what kind magic do you tend to do, and how does it work..? If that's not too private a question to ask. I don't really know any of that kind of stuff..."
He tapered off at the end, realizing his questions might be rude, but not knowing what to say to get himself out of his scrape. He had meant to just be friendly but it had been a while since he socialized with other humans. His Hellunds had taken up his life ever since he'd met them.

((No problem. :) ))
The servants paused very briefly and gave Clair a look somewhere between poorly hidden surprise and impressed before bowing subtly and attending to her request. Rose gave a knowing smile and nod to Jon as she floated over to a particularly gilded chair at the head of the table, not far from where the two sat. Once she seated herself, a couple of servants brought over a couple plates full of the delicious desserts and placed them before her on the table. With a silent wave, she sent them off to tend to some other, unknown task, that was soon revealed as they returned with bottles of wine for her to choose from, each clearly wiped of dust. She regarded each for a few moments before choosing a tall, black bottle with a deep red label which was promptly opened and served to her before being offered to the other two.

Suddenly, every hellund in the room perked up at a sound before running to the other side of the ballroom banquet hall where a small table had been discretely laid out with a variety of treats and foods made specially for the hellunds.

"I do hope you don't mind that I prepared a special banquet for the hellunds. Rest assured everything is of the highest quality ingredients and all things guaranteed to be safe for their enjoyment."
Rose then raised her glass to the other two before standing with a wide, pleased grin and regarded each of her guests.
"A toast, if you don't mind, to good food, pleasurable company, and to the lovliest of summoned creatures and our reason for being here tonight, the lovely Flametail Hellunds."
